David Bouley's Japanese kaiseki restaurant in Tribeca will host two seatings on December 31st.Reservations for the first seating are available between 5:00pm and 6:30pm, and will feature a six-course tasting menu ($150) prepared by Executive Chef Isao Yamada. The second seating (reservations available from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm) will boast a progressive kaiseki menu along with live entertainment. Brushstroke is a serious restaurant but Chef Yamada and his team plan to make New Year's Eve a festive occasion, complete with a champagne toast at midnight, party favors and a live shamisen player, a traditional Japanese string instrument. In addition, the two Michelin-starred sushi bar inside Brushstroke, Ichimura, will be getting in on the action by offering a grand New Year's Eve omakase at 6 pm ($225) and another at 9 pm ($300).

Fine-dining pioneer David Bouley's veteran namesake restaurant is known for pulling out all the stops for New Year's Eve. This December 31st the restaurant will be offer both lunch and dinner with seatings from 11:00 am to 10:45 pm. Guests who dine at lunch can enjoy a six-course tasting menu ($135, add $140 for wine pairings). For dinner, guests can opt for a reservation between 5:00pm and 6:45 pm ($240 per person, add $140 for wine pairings) or ring in the New Year at Bouley by making a reservation between 9:00pm and 10:45pm ($425, add $205 for wine pairings).

Quintessential New York New Year's Eve destination Tavern on the Green is back! Kick off 2015 in style at theTavern on the Green New Year's Eve Ball. The festivities will begin at 9 pm and continue through 2 am, complete with live performances by a jazz band and DJ, a live feed of the ball drop in Times Square, as well as a grand fireworks display over Central Park at midnight. General Admission tickets ($325) also include a four-hour open bar, passed hors d'oeuvres and party favors. Private tables are available, as well as upgrades. For an over-the-top NYC NYE celebration it's Clement-time, as in the posh restaurant at The Peninsula New York which showcases the flavors and ingredients of the Northeast United States. Few other restaurants anywhere mark the dawn of the new year with such an extravagant multi-component evening as Clement that will start with cocktail reception at 8:30 pm, followed by a five-course gala dinner and dancing to a five-piece band at 9:00 pm and ending with rooftop reveling at Salon da Ning with its stunning cityscape views further enhanced by festive decorations until 2 a.m. The cost is $500, including a glass of Champagne before dinner and two cocktails at the Salon de Ning soiree, where revelers will keep energized for more dancing to the spinning of a DJ by postprandial hors-d'oeuvre. Chef Shaun Hergatt will be serving a 5 Course Prix Fixe Menu at two seatings, the first at 5:30-6:45pm for $165and the second at 8:30-10:00pm for $185. An array of creative dishes will be available, such as Salmon with Yogurt Cotta and Leek Soubise, Cervena Venison with Red Beets and Pickled Apples and Warm Florida Shrimp with Caviar and Pomelo.

For the wine aficionado who loves fine Italian fare, Dopo East Ristorante Italiano is the perfect spot to ring in the New Year. With 700 unique labels, predominantly Italian but with an impressive collection from around the world, there is a wide selection of wines to please every palate. On New Year's Eve Dopo East will be serving a five-course menu for $200.00 pp, including wine pairings, and a complimentary bottle of Prosecco per table at midnight.

Chef/Restaurateur Richard Sandoval's coastal Mexican retreat in Midtown East will offer a four-course menu with two seatings ($69 between 5:00pm and 8:00pm, $99 plus a complimentary champagne toast for 9 pm and onward). Expect party favors, a mariachi band and seasonal, ingredient-driven modern Mexican fare from Executive Chef Lucero Martinez.

Duet Brasserie will ring in 2015 is intimate style with a dinner for just 45 celebrants is its charming ground floor space. Executive Chef Dmitry Rodov's three course menu is priced at $100 with tempting choices like Lobster Bisque, Filet Mignon and Chocolate Mousse and includes a glass of Champagne. It will be available from 5 pm to midnight, with the bar continuing to serve libations until 2 a.m.

Chef Tomita, who specializes in Kappo (high end traditional Japanese cuisine), will offer a Six Course Prix Fixe Menu for New Year's Eve. The restaurant will offer two seatings, as well as a champagne toast at midnight. Courses will include Bite Size Appetizers, Sashimi, Steam Hair Crab, Washimi Beef, Sushi and Toshikoshi-Soba. There will be gluten free, no shellfish and pescatarian substitutions available for those who have restrictions! Additionally, the restaurant will be open New Year's Day, serving Ozouni a traditional Japanese soup.

This creative Italian restaurant in the West Village from Chef Ed Cotton will host a two-part New Year's Eve party: Earlier in the evening, diners can enjoy a four-course dinner ($55 and $29 for a complementary wine flight) with reservations available from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Dishes include Truffled Beef Tartare, with quail egg, parmesan on a crostini, Chestnuts and Chicken Lasagna with creamy spinach, wild mushrooms and fontina cheese and a Warm Confetti Bomboloni (fried "doughnut holes") with warm Nutella-chocolate sauce for dessert. Afterwards, Sotto 13 will host a cocktail party (10 pm to 1 am, $100 per person) complete with an open bar, passed small plates (think lemon-saffron arancini with smoked mozzarella and crispy chicken wing lollipops with agrodolce sauce) and a live DJ. This butcher-driven steakhouse in the Financial District is known for its Kosher offerings like their illustrious steaks, but also for their extensive sushi menu. Luckily, they are open for New Year's Eve, offerring their full menu to their guests. Ring in 2015 with dishes like the Braised Waygu Beef Short Ribs with polenta fries, cranberr beans, pumpkin, pearl onions and topped with a pepper aromatic sauce and the creative Sakura Roll, which is filled with salmon, yellow tail, avocado, almonds, wrapped with cucumber and topped with spicy tuna.
