West Village's Chapter One American Tavern will host a Five Borough Beer Tasting and Dinner on Monday, February 23rd from 6-9:30pm, in conjunction with New York City Beer Week.
Executive Chef Warren Baird (Esca) and new General Manager Katie O'Donnell (also of Esca, where she was chef de cuisine) have collaborated on a five-course pairing menu that will celebrate locally made beers from all five boroughs of NYC.
The menu will consist of food and beer selections starting with their house-made soft pretzel with apricot mustard and ABC Easy Blonde (Manhattan). Pork loin will be served with Finnback Double Session (Queens) and Flagship American Wit (Staten Island). Duck Sausage will be accompanied by Radiant Pig Duck Red Ale (Manhattan) and Gun Hill Frosted Hop Strong Ale (Bronx). Local New York State cheeses will also be served with Transmitter FX5 Saison (Queens) and Rockaway The Pharm (Brooklyn/Queens). To top off this culinary event, Almond Cake will be paired with Bronx Imperial Rye (Bronx).
The dinner is priced at $75 per person (plus tax & gratuity). Seats can be purchased through http://www.eventbrite.com/e/five-borough-beer-tasting-and-dinner-tickets-15431677563. Chapter One is located at 33 Greenwich Avenue. Call 212-842-9146 and visit www.chaperone.nyc for more information.
