2018 SUMMER FANCY FOOD SHOW Announces Greece as Partner Country

The Specialty Food Association announced today that Greece will be their partner country for this year's Summer Fancy Food Show, the largest marketplace for specialty food in North America, taking place June 30 - July 2 in New York City. Enterprise Greece is organizing the participation of Greece at the Show.

"We're excited to have Greece as our partner country for the 2018 Summer Fancy Food Show," said Phil Kafarakis, president, Specialty Food Association. "With the continued popularity of the Mediterranean diet and its health benefits, this is a great time to focus on Greek foods. The influence of Greek ingredients in the American diet and on American shelves is a great example of the expansion of specialty food in the U.S."

The Greek Pavilion will include exhibitors representing the olive oil and olive industries, and others showcasing a range of dairy, honey, marmalades, nuts, and grains at their booths.

"The Fancy Food Show is a sure way for us heighten exposure for Greek food products, especially being SFA's partner country," said Mr. Elias Athanasiou, CEO, Enterprise Greece. "Our presence at the Show will reinforce the already strong surge of Greek food & products on specialty food shelves, menus, and in the trade media in the U.S. As an example, Greece ranked fourth out of 27 participating countries in the number of awards it garnered this year at the annual NY1000C awards. Greek food is taking its rightful place on the world stage. Our message is that Greece values health, quality, and taste."
