Howl at the Moon, the midtown concert bar and hotspot located in the Times Square area, is our "Bar of the Week." They recently celebrated the start of spring with an "Eclipse Party" on Wednesday night, March 23rd and Broadwayworld.com Food and Wine was there for the fun and excitement. Howl's has a lively modern disco atmosphere that features a spacious wrap around bar, high top tables, balcony seating and live music.

We enjoyed some of Howl's signature cocktails that include St. Germain Lemonade and their Honey Mango Margarita created by lead mixologist, Baylea Morgan. Shots and a great beer list with 13 rotating specialty beers and 17 classic favorites by the draft and bottle add to the beverage menu to please everyone in your party. Howl's tasty all-American burgers, loaded potato skins and more terrific bites are from Executive Chef Hezekiah Johnson go great with drinks.

Howl has an incredibly talented house band that includes musicians, James Nathan Hopkins, Debbie Christine Tjong, Khalil Overton, Samantha Behrman and Danielle Boucher who can play about anything by request without a break in the action. They keep the party going and always have the crowd wanting more.

Gather your group and visit soon. Next up, Howl at the Moon will host an "80's Night" to on Friday, April 15th. You can get ready by practicing your "Thriller" dance moves and warm up your voice to belt out "Let's Dance." Free admission to 80's Night will be provided if you arrive wearing a totally rad 80's outfit. A $50 cash prize will be rewarded for best-dressed guest. Drink specials will include half off domestic beers by the bottle and half off jello shots, as well as 86 ounce Brass Monkey Buckets for $25, and all the 80's music you can dance to by request, played by Howl's house-band. The doors open at 5pm.
