THE STORY

We have been asking America's best chefs a personal question: What do you cook for the people you love? And they've answered in America The Great Cookbook the ultimate celebration of our country's food scene, in all its glorious diversity. Featuring recipes and stories from over 100 top food personalities, the carefully curated cookbook is an opportunity for home cooks to get an intimate glimpse into the lives of their favorite food heroes as they share what they cook for their loved ones.

Celebrated chefs like Carla Hall, Mario Batali, and Marcus Samuelsson, food revolutionaries such as Ruth Reichl and Joan Nathan and local farmers including Murder Point Oysters and Frog Hollow Farm not only capture the diversity of America, but also showcase the variety of food production in each state, spotlighting practices such as fishing and foraging. Lavishly photographed with food and lifestyle imagery, and with a unique cover designed by a renowned artist, this gorgeous book tells the story of cooking-and making food for those we love-across America.
