On Friday June 3rd Des McAnuff's new production of Jesus Christ Superstar opened at Stratford's Avon Theatre as part of the 2011 Stratford Shakespeare Festival's Season. People have been buzzing about it ever since. The rock musical has been re-envisioned by legendary director McAnuff, and BWW is thrilled to bring its readers photos from the show. On stage now through October 29th, 2011.

Women Fully Clothed: Older and Hotter is the much anticipated sequel to Women Fully Clothed, a rip-roaring comedy show by four of Canada's leading comediennes. Eugene Levy has called them 'the funniest women in Canada' and Martin Short said the show was 'totally hysterical, funny and smart' and now BWW is speaking with each leading lady about the challenging nature of being comediennes in a male-dominated forum, their Second City backgrounds and what effects age have had on them as performers. Today we are talking with Robin Duke.

This fall, Mirvish Productions brings the critically acclaimed UK production of Noel Coward's Private Lives to Toronto for a pre-Broadway run at The Royal Alexandra Theatre. Kim Cattrall leads the cast, and on May 31st it was announced that Canadian stage and screen actor Paul Gross would join her as her co-star. BWW was on hand to bring you photos of the duo as they addressed Toronto media.

Louise Pitre is musical theatre royalty here in Canada, and after many years is finally performing a solo show here in Toronto. ZERO HOUR is a one-man play starring Jim Brochu and directed by Piper Laurie. A smash-hit off Broadway (Jim won the Drama Desk Award in 2010 for the role) the show is currently playing in Toronto until April 16th, 2011.
