THE WALKING DEAD Mid-Season Finale Attracts 15.2 Million ViewersDecember 3, 2012AMC's "The Walking Dead" is the first cable series in television history to reign as the biggest show of the fall season among Adult 18-49 rating, beating all broadcast and cable entertainment series including "The Voice," "Modern Family," "X Factor," "Two and a Half Men," "The Big Bang Theory" and "Grey's Anatomy." Last night, the 9PM premiere of "The Walking Dead's" mid-season finale delivered 10.5 million viewers. The series encored at 10PM and then again at midnight, delivering an additional 3.6 million & 1.1 million viewers respectively, totaling 15.2 million viewers for the night. With Live plus 7, "The Walking Dead" adds another 3.4 million viewers a week on average. "The Walking Dead" Season 3 to date reigns as the number one ad supported drama series in basic cable history among total viewers, adults 18-49, adults 25-54, adults 18-34, men 18-49, men 25-54 and men 18-34. AMC resumes the final eight episodes of "The Walking Dead" season three on Sunday, February 10th at 9pm EST.
Sundance Channel's TOP OF THE LAKE to Premiere at 2013 Sundance FIlm FestivalDecember 3, 2012Sundance Channel today announced that two of their highly anticipated original scripted series, "Top of the Lake" and "Rectify" will debut during the 2013 Sundance Film Festival taking place in Park City Utah in January. "Top of the Lake" will screen in the premiere category, marking the first time the Sundance Film Festival has included a scripted long form series in their lineup. The seven-part series will screen in its entirety on Sunday, January 20th at the Egyptian Theater in Park City and will be followed by a Q&A with the creators and cast. Campion will also participate in a discussion of the creative appeal of working in long-form episodic narrative as part of a Festival panel titled "Power of Story: The New Face of Independent Voice" on January 19.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE Delivers NBC its Biggest Saturday Night Audience This SeasonDecember 2, 2012 From 8-11 p.m., an encore telecast of the 1946 movie classic 'It's a Wonderful Life' (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers) delivered NBC's top total-viewer result for a Saturday night so far this season and best for an in-season Saturday since January 21 ('Betty White's 90th Birthday' and encores of 'Betty White's Off Their Rockers' and 'SVU'). From its first half-hour to its sixth, 'It's a Wonderful Life' increased its 18-49 rating by 57 percent (to a 1.1 from a 0.7) and its overall viewership by 51 percent or 1.7 million persons (to 5.1 million from 3.4 million).
