DreamWorks Animation (DWA) has named children's programming leader and former Nickelodeon executive Marjorie Cohn as its first-ever Head of Television, overseeing the production and development for DreamWorks Animation's television efforts. A 26-year veteran of Nickelodeon, Cohn most recently held the role of President, Content Development, completing a Nickelodeon tenure during which she was engaged in the development, creation and production of some of the most successful children's programs in television history including SpongeBob Squarepants, Rugrats, iCarly, and the Kids' Choice Awards. With Cohn's contributions, Nickelodeon grew to be the number one cable broadcaster in the world.

On Monday, August 19 at 9 PM ET/PT, TLC will document the extraordinary story of Wesley Warren Jr., a 49-year-old Las Vegas resident who is living with a rare medical condition called scrotal lymphedema. The one-hour special, THE MAN WITH THE 132 LB SCROTUM, will follow Wes's life as he deals with day-to-day challenges that are easy for most people. Due to the large size of his scrotum, Wes has difficulty with simple tasks like walking, preparing meals and even going to the restroom.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network and P&G announced today that production has begun on season three of the daytime series 'Home Made Simple,' with Soleil Moon Frye serving as the weekly show's new host. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that PARKS AND RECREATION staples Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones are set to exit the long-running NBC comedy during the middle of its upcoming sixth season. The pair will reportedly make their exit after the 13th episode.

Syfy's newest original scripted series Helix from Sony Pictures Television began production this past weekend in Montreal, Canada. The 13-episode drama is executive produced by Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica, Outlander), Steven Maeda (Lost, The X-Files) who is also showrunner, and Lynda Obst (Sleepless in Seattle, Contact). Cameron Porsandeh, who wrote the pilot, will serve as a Co-Executive Producer.

The show's storyline has hinted at Emily's covert training on remote Rebun Island with master Takeda. Image Entertainment, an RLJ Entertainment (NASDAQ: RLJE) brand, has set the date for the Pay-Per-View (PPV) and Video On Demand (VOD) Mega Comedy Event LEWIS BLACK: OLD YELLER - LIVE AT THE BORGATA. This will be the first ever live comedy special to air simultaneously on all cable, satellite and telco platforms including Xfinity, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, DirecTV, Dish, Cablevision, Charter Communications, AT&T U-Verse, Verizon FiOS and many others. The show premiers live onSaturday, August 24th at 9:30 PM EDT, followed by replays on those platforms. It is presented in both SD and HD.

Telemundo Media delivered the best July ratings in the network's history, up 13% percent over last year in key demos with an average of 1,483,000 total viewers and 754,000 adults 18-49 during Monday through Sunday primetime programming, according to Nielsen. The network marks its 5th consecutive period of year-over-year growth in total viewers during the month of July, surpassing its record breaking performance last year.

Today, SHOWTIME announced that it has signed a two-year overall deal with five-time Emmy and Writers Guild Award nominee, and DEXTER showrunner and executive producer Scott Buck. Buck is currently in development on a few projects for the network, including supervising the script for Matthew Specktor's novel American Dream Machine, which DEXTER's Michael C. Hall will also executive produce and Specktor will write. The announcement was made by David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.
