Alumnae Theatre Company just announced that the opening of their production the Drowning Girls has to be postponed due to a family emergency with one of the cast members, it is unfortunately necessary to postpone the opening of The Drowning Girls by one day. There will be no performance on Friday November 16; instead the show will open on Saturday November 17.

A Noise Within, the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, has been granted funds for six American Sign Language(ASL)- Interpreted performances and a number of scholarships for each by the Ellingsen Family Fund. The grant provides the opportunity for hearing-impaired individuals to attend performances interpreted by two professionals trained in theatrical ASL interpretation.

The Royal Shakespeare Company recently got pummeled with criticism over Facebook due to questionable casting for their upcoming play, The Orphan of Zhao. In this Chinese play, written in 4th century BC, the RSC company only has three actors of east Asian descent.
