CIRQUE DREAMS HOLIDAZE lights up the 2011 holiday season when it transforms the stage at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) into a wonderland of fantasy and disbelief, December 13 - 18, 2011. Cirque Dreams, an American theatrical production company, brings its critically acclaimed entertainment brand to Providence for eight glorious holiday performances presented by PPAC.

Best known for writing the book for Broadway's In the Heights, winner of four Tony awards including for Best Musical, Hudes will give a talk and answer questions from the audience at City Tech. In the Heights also earned her the Lucille Lortel Award and the Outer Critics Circle Award. She has been called "one of the most important playwrights of her generation" (Atlanta Journal Constitution) with "a confident and arresting voice" (The New York Times).

Thanksgiving Eve marks the one year anniversary of Stuff Yourself Silly, and Adam has harvested a wide assemblage of talents to ring in the holiday season. "After a successful seasonal run with this show, it's time to get back to where it all started, Thanksgiving Eve at Coney Island USA." The First Real Man proudly states. "It's a great evening to get out, there's no work the next day, it's a fantastic cast and with these performers you'll have some great stories to tell at Thanksgiving dinner."

This one-of-a-kind performance will use a variety of mediums to blend Gospel music, classical North Indian Kathak dance and devotional music and poems from Hindu and Muslim religions.

In 1825 the Gewandhaus Orchestra in Leipzig performed the first complete cycle of Beethoven's symphonies in the history of music under the direction of Johann Philipp Christian Schulz. This momentous occasion began a tradition in Leipzig, one that has been embraced by all succeeding music directors including Riccardo Chailly, the present principal conductor. For the maestro's first recording of Beethoven's symphonies Decca will release a comprehensive cycle of all nine symphonies paired with eight overtures - all recorded at the Gewandhaus in stunningly realized performances.

The Tampa Museum of Art is staging a mid-career survey for one of the leading video artists working today. No Limits: Janet Biggs is on view until January 8, 2012. The exhibition was conceived of and organized by the Tampa Museum of Art and is the first full survey of the artist's career.
