Everyone is talking about the FOLLIES revival, now in previews at the Marquis Theatre. Performances began on Sunday, August 7th for James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim's FOLLIES, directed by Eric Schaeffer, with choreography by Warren Carlyle and music direction by James Moore. COMEDY CENTRAL has secured one of Hollywood's most notorious bad boys. The network just taped 'COMEDY CENTRAL Roast Of Charlie Sheen' (#SheenRoast) will tape in Los Angeles on September 10. The Roast will premiere on COMEDY CENTRAL on Monday, September 19 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

The Anaheim Performing Arts Center Foundation (APACF) announced today that it will host an evening of singing and dancing to continue raising money for the capital campaign for the building of a new performing arts center in Anaheim. The production, Broadway Rocks Anaheim 2011 will feature some of Broadway's brightest stars.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Broadway vetera Brian Cox will star in Theatre of Dream, a new film which will be dircted by David Scheinmann.

As previously reported, producers Hal Luftig and Scott Sanders will produce a revival of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's landmark musical EVITA, opening on Broadway in April 2012.

According to TVLine.com, stage veteran Judith Light will guest star on TV Land's 'The Exes.' The show is about 'Holly, a divorce attorney who ignores her own relationship issues by helping three divorced men get back on track. Holly also happens to live across the hall from the aforementioned trio, played by Donald Faison (Scrubs), Wayne Knight (Seinfeld) and David Alan Basche (The Starter Wife).' Light will play Holly's mother.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, ABC has picked up Broadway veteran Rebe McEntire's new series- 'Malibu Country.' As described by THR, the show 'centers on Reba, who divorces her cheating husband and moves her family from Nashville to Malibu. There she'll try to reignite her own singing career and keep herself and three kids from being corrupted by the materialistic and rarified Malibu world she now calls home.'

The hosts of 'The View' will introduce the world television premiere performance of the brand new Disney stage musical, 'NEWSIES,' adapted from the popular Disney film starring Christian Bale, live, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) on ABC. Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken, who wrote music for the 1992 motion picture 'Newsies' and has won eight Oscars© for such memorable scores as 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'The Little Mermaid' and 'Pocahontas,' is a featured guest and will help introduce the cast performance medley of both 'Santa Fe' and 'Seize The Day.' Signature Theatre announced today that John and Amy Griffin have donated $5 million in support of Signature Center, the Company's new, permanent home opening in February 2012. Spanning an entire city block at 42nd Street between Dyer and 10th Avenue, the Frank Gehry-designed Signature Center is the largest non-profit performing arts center to be built in New York City since Lincoln Center opened more than 50 years ago. Featuring three intimate theatres, a studio theatre, rehearsal studio, and a public café and bookstore, the Center will be both a theatre community hub and a neighborhood destination, and has been designed to foster interaction among playwrights, artistic collaborators, and the public.
