Patrick Page played his final performance as 'The Green Goblin' in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark yesterday, August 5. Broadway star Robert Cuccioli, best known for his Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle winning and Tony-nominated performance as the star of Jekyll and Hyde, will take on the role in his long-anticipated return to Broadway. Cuccioli will play his first performance on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street). On Saturday night, the cast of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark gathered at the Aspen Social Club to say farewell to Page. Check out photos from the gathering below!

Today in 1995, the first Broadway revival of Damn Yankees closed at the Marquis Theatre, where it ran for 533 performances. Damn Yankees is a musical comedy with a book by George Abbott and Douglass Wallop and music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. The story is a modern retelling of the Faust legend set during the 1950s in Washington, D.C., during a time when the New York Yankees dominated Major League Baseball.

Christian Borle, who won a 2012 Tony Award for his role as 'Black Stache' in PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, recently departed his role for the filming of season two of NBC's SMASH. Taking over the role is Matthew Saldivar, who has been seen on Broadway as Steve in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, Sammy in THE WEDDING SINGER and Kenickie in GREASE. One of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history, CATS will begin a new tour in 2013. Premiering at the Edinburgh Playhouse on 9 February 2013 the show will also visit Aberdeen, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Bradford, Hull, Sunderland, Southampton, Milton Keynes, Woking, Ostend and Dublin. In partnership with playwright Robert Harling, FOUR THINGS PRODUCTIONS is honored to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of this remarkable story written for Harling's sister whom he lost through complications of diabetes. Williamstown Theatre Festival will take a look at arguably the most contentious social issue of the 21st Century when the Festival presents a reading of "8" on Monday. Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced today the cast and creative team for the one-night-only event, which will be presented on the Main Stage on Monday, August 6 in a staged reading benefitting Broadway Impact and American Foundation for Equal Rights. T he performance will be followed by a talkback.

Joan Stein, who produced both theatre on the West and East Coasts and television in Los Angeles, died today from appendceal cancer, a family spokesperson announced. She was 59.

Project Cuddle® is thrilled to announce the nonprofit organization heads to Broadway for its fifth annual fundraiser "A Night on Broadway!" Mike Tyson and Spike Lee announced last week that his Vegas act is heading to Broadway. Mike Tyson: UNDISPUTED TRUTH, directed by Lee, will now play Broadway's Longacre Theatre for 12 performances only, July 31-August 12.

Today in 1974, A Little Night Music closed at the Shubert Theatre, where it ran for 601 performances. A Little Night Music is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler. Inspired by the Ingmar Bergman film Smiles of a Summer Night, it involves the romantic lives of several couples. Since its original 1973 Broadway production, the musical has enjoyed professional productions in the West End, by opera companies, in a 2009 Broadway revival, and elsewhere, and it is a popular choice for regional groups. It was adapted for film in 1977, with Harold Prince directing and Elizabeth Taylor, Len Cariou, Lesley-Anne Down and Diana Rigg starring.
