Seattle Public Theater (SPT) opens its 2012-2013 season with the Seattle Premiere of Pulitzer-prize winning playwright Tracy Letts' urban comedy-drama Superior Donuts running September 28-October 21, 2012 at the historic Bathhouse Theater on Green Lake.

Winner of Dave's Funniest Joke Of The Fringe Award 2012, Stewart Francis continues his Outstanding In His Field tour from 13 September, through to the end of November 2012. The king of the one-liners and star of BBC's Mock The Week, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and Live At The Apollo is back on the road with his brand new, critically acclaimed show including the winning joke: 'You know who really gives kids a bad name? Posh and Becks'.

Poet/performance artist Davida Singer mixes it up with jazz/klezmer artists Frank London (trumpet) and Daniel Kelly (keyboard) to perform excerpts from her new collection Port of Call (Plain View Press, 2012). Written with a strong feminist voice, the book follows the journey of a woman at the turn of the 3rd millennium, where personal experiences morph into a lyrical meditation on space and time, and where loss, rebirth, and unsettled relationships mirror global shifts. The Hilberry Theatre's 50th season kicks off with the world's longest running play, Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap, running for a limited engagement September 21 to October 13, 2012. In this classic, murder-mystery thriller, a group of travelers are snowed in together on an intense journey at Monkswell Manor. One by one, they begin to meet their fates, leaving the survivors suspicious and pitted against one another in a desperate attempt to find the killer before time runs out.

Ballet Next, the independent ballet company founded by acclaimed dancers Michele Wiles and Charles Askegard, will present its first week-long season at The Joyce Theater from October 23-28, 2012. Since debuting for a one-night only, sold out performance at The Joyce in 2011, Ballet Next has forged an exciting creative laboratory, bringing together world-class choreographers, dancers and musicians to develop contemporary work with the highest level of classical technique as its foundation. The longest running Zappa repertoire group, Project/Object, returns to the road for a quick tour of the Northeast. The band will be joined by Zappa 's most beloved vocalists: Ike Willis and Ray White, who together and separately toured and recorded with Zappa from 1976-1988. James Morrison, Australia's world-renowned virtuoso jazz musician, has generously agreed to perform with The Metropolitan Orchestra under the artistic directorship of Sarah Grace-Williams at a charity concert at the brand new state-of-the-art Concert Hall at the Concourse, Chatswood on Saturday November 3, with all proceeds going to the Pain Management Research Institute - a joint initiative of the University of Sydney and Royal North Shore Hospital.
