Beginning November 18, the Royal Shakespeare Company's acclaimed production of Shakespeare's Henry V will play in select movie houses across North America. The production, which opened to rave reviews at the RSC's home in Stratford-upon-Avon, was filmed for 'Live from Stratford-upon-Avon,' the RSC program that screens the world's greatest classical theatre company from Shakespeare's home town around the world through a continued partnership with Picturehouse Entertainment. Happy Birthday Anthony Rapp! An actor since the age of six, Rapp has appeared on Broadway in Precious Sons, Rent, Six Degrees of Separation, The Little Prince and the Aviator, and the revival of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. His films include Adventures in Babysitting, School Ties, Dazed and Confused, Six Degrees of Separation, and more. He will next starr on Broadway opposite Idina Menzel in IF/THEN.

Second Stage Theatre will present the world premiere production of INVISIBLE THREAD, a new musical by Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews, in association with American Repertory Theater, directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (Finding Neverland, Pippin). INVISIBLE THREAD will begin previews on Saturday, October 31st at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd street). Opening night is scheduled for Wednesday, December 2nd. Broadway's new suspense thriller Misery, starring two-time Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe Award winner and written by two-time Academy Award winner William Goldman, just began performances last night, October 22, 2015, at Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre (235 W 44th Street), and officially opens on Sunday, November 15, 2015, in a strictly limited 16-week engagement. The world premiere musical First Daughter Suite, written by Michael John LaChiusa, and debuting atThe Public Theater, directed by Kirsten Sanderson, runs now through Sunday, November 15, the show just opened last night. Check out highlights of the cast in action below!

'[Thank you] to an incredible cast of British and American actors who make the Atlantic look like a little creek you can just kind of pop across,' said Dame Helen Mirren upon receiving her 2015 Tony Award. The stage and screen star reprised her critically-acclaimed performance in THE AUDIENCE after a West End run in 2013, and she was just one of many to 'pop across' an ocean for a stab at Broadway.  An unprecedented amount of British talent took over Broadway last year, bringing us such productions as THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2, and SKYLIGHT.   It doesn't seem like the trend is ending anytime soon. This fall, Broadway will welcome a slew of British actors- some of whom will be making their US stage debuts in incoming productions. And it's not just performers. We're getting some complete British imports in shows like A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE and KING CHARLES III. Below, we're taking a moment to shine a spotlight on this season's British imports.

The first Broadway production of Dames at Sea opens at Broadway's Helen HayesTheater (240 W 44th Street), tonight, October 22, 2015, at 6:30pm. In celebration of the big night, we're bringing you a new clip of the cast performing the big 11 o'clock number- 'Star Tar.'

After six long years, the wait is finally over! The musical web series THE BATTERY'S DOWN, which wrapped up its final season in late 2009, has returned for a reunion special (which aired on Hulu earlier this week) and a Joe's Pub concert, with performances from original cast members (and some very special guests). Happy Birthday Adam Pascal! Pascal received Obie and Theatre World awards and Tony and Drama Desk nominations for best actor for Rent. On Broadway, he also originated the role of Radames in the hit musical Aida and starred as the Emcee in the long-running revival of Cabaret. His film credits include Rent, School of Rock, SLC Punk!, Temptation and Goyband. He most recently starred in Memphis on Broadway.

Happy Birthday Raul Esparza! Since making his Broadway debut, Esparza has become only the second actor to receive Tony nominations in all four eligible acting categories. Most recently he took on the role of con artist Jonas Nightingale in the Broadway musical adaptation of Leap of Faith directed by Christopher Ashley. Additional Broadway credits include The Rocky Horror Show, Taboo, Company, Arcadia, and more!

Today in 1972, Pippin opened at the Imperial Theatre, where it ran for 1944 performances. Pippin is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson. Bob Fosse, who directed the original Broadway production, also contributed to the libretto. The musical uses the premise of a mysterious acting troupe, led by a Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance. The original cast included: Eric Berry, Jill Clayburgh, Leland Palmer, Irene Ryan, Ben Vereen, and John Rubinstein.

Today in 1998, Footloose opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, where it ran for 709 performances. Footloose is a 1998 musical based on the 1984 film of the same name. The music is by Tom Snow (among others), the lyrics by Dean Pitchford (with additional lyrics by Kenny Loggins), and the book by Pitchford and Walter Bobbie. It starred Jeremy Kushnier as Ren McCormack, Stephen Lee Anderson as Reverend Shaw Moore, Jennifer Laura Thompson as Ariel Moore, Tom Plotkin as Willard Hewitt, and Dee Hoty as Vi Moore.

Des Moines Performing Arts, in partnership with THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY national tour and the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, just welcomed Elizabeth Stanley and Andrew Samonsky, who will star as Francesca Johnson and Robert Kincaid in THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY's upcoming national tour. The duo performed selections from the musical at the 46th Annual Madison County Covered Bridge Festival in Winterset, Iowa. THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, winner of the 2014 Tony Award for Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations, is famously set in Iowa and will launch its national tour at the Des Moines Civic Center November 28 - December 5. The national tour of the new musical comedy BULLETS OVER BROADWAY, written by Woody Allen and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath (Beautiful) for the 1994 film, launched from Cleveland, OH earlier this month, and is currently playing Burlington, Vermont. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, comedy and television icon Bob Saget will step into the role of 'Pastor Greg' in the Tony® Award-nominated comedy Hand to God beginning November 3, 2015 through the production's previously announced closing on January 3, 2016. Saget returns to Broadway after making his Broadway debut in 2007 in the Tony® winning musical The Drowsy Chaperone. He will join current Hand to Godcast members Steven Boyer, Geneva Carr,Sarah Stiles, and Michael Oberholtzer. 3-time Tony® nominee Marc Kudisch, who originated the role of 'Pastor Greg', exits the production on November 1st to begin production on Baritones Unbound. Hand to God plays at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street) through January 3, 2016 before immediately transferring to London's West End, with performances beginning on February 5, 2016 at the famed Vaudeville Theatre.

Academy Award-winning Hollywood musical 'Oklahoma!' returns to theaters nationwide for the first time in wide release in 60 years fully restored and with extended pre-show featurette featuring Okie native Kristin Chenoweth singing songs from the classic musical based on the Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II stage production. The limited theatrical re-release, a partnership between BY Experience and Rodgers & Hammerstein, An Imagem Company, begins November 1st with more than 1,300 screenings nationwide. Tickets for the 'Oklahoma!' special event are available now at participating theater box offices and online at www.Oklahoma60.com.
