Annaleigh Ashford has been on a roll since taking home her Tony Award in June. Currently starring as Broadway's favorite pooch in SYLVIA, she also juggles her hit cabaret act, LOST IN THE STARS, and her role on Showtime's MASTERS OF SEX. In between it all, she joined a long list of guests for SAG-AFTRA Foundation and BroadwayWorld's Conversations Q&A series, recognizing and celebrating the vibrant theatre community in New York City and the union actors who aspire to have a career on the stage and screen. Happy Birthday, Graciela Daniele! As a performer, Daniele made her Broadway debut in What Makes Sammy Run? in 1964. She studied with Martha Graham and Merce Cunningham while working with such luminaries as Bob Fosse, Agnes de Mille, and Michael Bennett, who hired her to assist him with Follies in 1971. Her first credit as a full-fledged choreographer was the 1979 revival of The Most Happy Fella. She has directed and/or choreographed several musicals of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, including, most recently, The Glorious Ones (2007) and Dessa Rose (2005) at the Off-Broadway Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater at Lincoln Center. She has directed and/or choreographed several musicals of Michael John LaChiusa Off-Broadway, most recently Bernarda Alba (2006) and Little Fish (2003).

Japan can't get enough of PRINCE OF BROADWAY (see video below), and that's too bad, because there are just five performances left at Osaka's Umeda Arts Theatre. On opening night, after a solid ten minutes of applause after the final curtain, Prince and the rest of the creative team went out one more time. Despite the show's success overseas, an official announcement has not yet been made regrading a run on Broadway... but that hasn't kept us from wondering. So what's next for PRINCE? We're keeping our appendages crossed for an announcement soon and we'll keep you posted with updates!

The first national tour of THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY opens later this week at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre, but you need not wait that long for a sneak peek. Now in its sixth year, West End Bares 2015 took to the skies for TAKE OFF! earlier this year at the legendary Cafe de Paris, to raise funds for the Make a Difference Trust. Hosted by the one and only GRAHAM NORTON, West End Bares: TAKE OFF! featured an incredible line up of West End favourites as they took to the skies to celebrate all things aviation. YouTube sensation Christina Bianco wasn't able to make it to the show,  but she helped to make this year's show brilliant with this special video message. Check it out below!

BroadwayWorld is excited to bring you an exclusive track from the album- 'Sailing On.' The song was the first that Menken wrote with Dean Pitchford in 1982 for an album that didn't end up happening. Now the song is out of the vaults and you can check out Jacobs' rendition below!

Just last month, the Broadway at Birdland concert series presented songwriter Jonathan Reid Gealt, who celebrated the release of his new cd, 'Whatever I Want It To Be,' with a concert at the historic music room starring a bevy of Broadway stars. The cast included vocalists Jane Monheit, Loren Allred, Whitney Bashor, and Addi McDaniel and Michael Deleget. Check out highlights from the concert below.

Just in time for the holidays Signature Theatre wil bring a classic to the stage. WEST SIDE STORY, considered by some to be one of the greatest musicals of all time, opens at the MAX Theatre next week (December 8) and the company is making finishing touches to the iconic musical. With just days until the curtain goes up, go behind the scenes with the WEST SIDE STORY orchestra as they play an excerpt from 'Cool.'

Emmy Award-winner and Grammy Award nominee Wayne Brady officially took over the coveted role of 'Lola' in the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) on November 21, 2015. Check out highlights of Brady in action below!

Happy Birthday, Ira Gershwin! A lyricist, Gershwin collaborated with his younger brother, composer George Gershwin, to create some of the most memorable songs of the 20th century. With George he wrote more than a dozen Broadway shows, featuring songs such as 'I Got Rhythm', 'Embraceable You', 'The Man I Love' and 'Someone to Watch Over Me'. He was also responsible, along with DuBose Heyward, for the libretto to George's opera Porgy and Bess. The success the brothers had with their collaborative works has often overshadowed the creative role that Ira played. However, his mastery of songwriting continued after the early death of George. He wrote additional hit songs with composers Jerome Kern ('Long Ago (and Far Away)'), Kurt Weill and Harold Arlen.

Today in 2002, the fourth Broadway revival of Man of La Mancha opened at the Martin Beck Theatre (now the Al Hirschfeld Theatre), where it ran for 304 performances. Man of La Mancha is a musical with a book by Dale Wasserman, lyrics by Joe Darion and music by Mitch Leigh. It is adapted from Wasserman's non-musical 1959 teleplay I, Don Quixote, which was in turn inspired by Miguel de Cervantes's seventeenth century masterpiece Don Quixote. It tells the story of the 'mad' knight, Don Quixote, as a play within a play, performed by Cervantes and his fellow prisoners as he awaits a hearing with the Spanish Inquisition.The original 1965 Broadway production ran for 2,328 performances and won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The musical has been revived four times on Broadway, becoming one of the most enduring works of musical theatre.

Today in 1983, Baby opened at the Ethel barrymore Theatre, where it ran for 241 performances. Baby is a musical with a book by Sybille Pearson, based on a story developed with Susan Yankowitz, music by David Shire, and lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr.. It concerns the reactions of three couples each expecting a child. Lizzie and Danny are university juniors who have just moved in together. Athletic Pam and her husband, Nick, a sports instructor, have had some trouble conceiving. Arlene, already the mother of three grown daughters, is unsure of what to do, contemplating abortion while her husband Alan is thrilled with the thought of a new baby. Throughout the show, these characters experience the emotional stresses and triumphs, the desperate lows and the comic highs, that accompany the anticipation and arrival of a baby.

Tony Nominee Laura Osnes (CINDERELLA, BONNIE & CLYDE, ANYTHING GOES) and Christopher Rice (THE BOOK OF MORMON) are getting in the holiday spirit with a classic. Happy Birthday, Bette Midler! Bette Midler produced the recent Broadway musical 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert.' She made her Broadway debut playing Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof. Thereafter, she began singing in clubs around town including at the famed Continental Baths where she developed the trademark act that would make her one of the most renowned talents of a generation. Midler's first starring role in the feature film, The Rose, garnered two Golden Globe Awards, a Grammy for the film's title song and a best actress Oscar nomination.
