The Brooklyn Academy of Music has announced the complete cast for its upcoming production of Persephone. The production will be included in the Next Wave Festival in October. Warren Leight, Ben Neill, and Mimi Goese have teamed up for te new musical, which is set to run October 26-30 at the Harvey Theater.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Liv Ullmann has joined the Norwegian cast of Eugene O'Neill's LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT. The Tony and Academy Award winning actress has been recently focusing on directing movies and stage productions. Ullmann's broadway credits include: ANNIE CHRISTIE, A DOLL'S HOUSE, GHOSTS, and I REMEMBER MAMA.

According to the New York Times, Kelly McGillis and partner Melanie Lies were joined in a civil union in Collingswood, New Jersey. The ceremony took place on September 15 and was officiated by Judge Robert T. Zane III.

The 2009 Drama Desk Award winner and 2010 Bistro Award winner Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words returns for a new season with two shows on Monday, September 20, at 7:30 and 9:30pm, at New York's Triad Theater, 158 West 72 Street. The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey announced the casting of Lisa Harrow as Queen Eleanor in The Lion in Winter by James Goldman running on the Theatre's Main Stage from October 20 through November 14. Company member Laila Robins was originally slated to portray the role of Eleanor, but had to withdraw due to a scheduling conflict. The casting of Ms. Harrow is an exciting opportunity for Shakespeare Theatre audiences to be introduced to the work of this remarkable actress. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in association with the British Council presents ON THE FRINGE: Eye on Edinburgh in various locations throughout the Kennedy Center from October 28 to November 13, 2010. The La Jolla Playhouse will soon open a new musical about Charlie Chaplin entitled LIMELIGHT: THE STORY OF Charlie Chaplin. Now Warren Carlyle has joined the creative team as co-director with Michael Unger. Carlyle's past directing/choreographing credits include Broadway's FINIAN'S RAINBOW and A TALE OF TWO CITIES. The show will have its world premiere at the Mandell Weiss Theatre beginning September 7 and running through October 17.

The seven-member cast features Steve French as Bass, Celisse Henderson as Alto, Hannah Laird as Soprano/Ali, Chesney Snow as Boxman, Graham Stevens as Baritone/Nate, Denise Summerford as Mezzo/Jane, and Tommar Wilson as Tenor/Trent.

Former Ashland Associate Artistic Director Penny Metropulos and veteran performer Joseph Graves will pick up the gauntlet thrown by adaptors Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson and spin the western world's oldest yarn into a freshly riveting tale in An Iliad, launching a thousand ships this Fall in the Ellyn Bye Studio.
