Nicole Rosky

Nicole is the Editor-in-Chief of BroadwayWorld, where she began her journey as an intern in 2010. As BroadwayWorld's Senior Managing Editor, a role she took on in 2012, she covered over a decade's-worth of theatre and live entertainment in New York City and around the world. Throughout her time with BroadwayWorld, Nicole has worked extensively with the photo and video team, producing (and sometimes editing) a great deal of the site's original programming, including Backstage with Richard Ridge, Dance Captain Dance Attack, Next on Stage, Kid Critics, and Teen Critics, just to name a few. Originally from outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she is a proud graduate of Penn State University's College of Communications. Nicole currently resides in Brooklyn, New York, where she gets to enjoy far more great theatre than she ever dreamed. Her first great role was "Billy Flynn" in her fourth grade musical theatre class. Oh, how far she has come!

  • Tony Nominee Reactions - I have had the pleasure of covering every Tony Awards season since 2011 and one of my favorite parts is hearing from the nominees just moments after they find out that they ARE nominees.
  • Theatre Queens - When I'm not at a Broadway show, you'll find me at home, catching up on the latest episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race. I've had a blast chatting with many of the queens who call theatre their first love.
  • Broadway Jukebox - I love a good playlist and I find myself making them OFTEN. I've curated over 100 musical theatre playlists for BroadwayWorld (my personal favorite is "Female Anthems of Broadway"). Give them a listen and follow BroadwayWorld on Spotify to find out what I come up with next!
  • Broadway By Design - I created this series after realizing how little information is shared about the theatrical design process and it has become one of my favorite ongoing features.
  • Next On Stage - Working on this project and having the opportunity to spotlight so many talented young people from around the country has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.

The event will be hosted by Native Voices at the Autry, the resident theatre company at the Autry National Center, located in Griffith Park at 4700 Western Heritage Way in Los Angeles.

SteppingStone Theatre is pleased to present a new production of Stone Soup Feeds the World. When three strangers arrive in a town that has been ravaged by war and famine, they start to cook a pot of stone soup. The townsfolk are wary and suspicious of the strangers and of each other, but one carrot at a time, they come around to trust the newcomers. When the soup is ready and everyone shares in the feast, the town is brought back together, and the strangers have mysteriously disappeared.

A TRIBUTE TO BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, the one and only MEGAN GOGERTY takes the stage for this one-of-a-kind musical tribute to Joss Whedon's epic sci-fi/western TV series FIREFLY. This short-lived TV show spawned legions of diehard fans for its wit and pathos, and now those fans can come to the Englert to celebrate their love with their fellow 'browncoats.'

Singer KEVIN DOZIER will bring his acclaimed cabaret show 'TAKE ME TO THE WORLD' to The Laurie Beechman Theatre at West Bank Café, 407 West 42nd Street, on Tuesday, October 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 7 PM. The evening, directed by Lennie Watts, includes songs by Maltby and Shire, Jones and Schmidt, Irving Berlin, Jerry Herman, Lerner and Loewe, Stephen Sondheim, Noel Coward, Ervin Drake, Rusty Magee, Alex Rybeck and others. Kevin debuted 'Take Me to the World' at Feinstein's earlier this year to universal raves. Gregory Itzin, Amy Pietz and Steven Weber head the cast when L.A. Theatre Works presents Lucy Prebble's award-winning, savagely comic tale of greed and loss during financial meltdown, Enron. Bay Street Playes Hold SCROOGE Auditions, 9/28

Directed by Lou Bellamy, MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM plays in Tucson at the Temple of Music and Art from October 16 through November 6. Bay Street Players Present ANTON IN SHOW BUSINESS, 9/26

The Bay Street Players announce the opening production of The Bay Street Project 2010-2011 series. The first of the five show series opens Sept. 26 for three performances only. This Alternative production series starts off with the savory, savage backstage comedy 'Anton in Show Business' by Jane Martin. An all-female cast performs multiple roles (including men) in this uproarious comedy about an egotistic television actress, a jaded New Yorker and an eager ingénue brought together for an ill-fated production of Anton Chekhov's The Three Sisters in San Antonio, Texas. Anton takes aim at producers, directors, surgically beautified actors, crass sponsors, critics and even such sacred topics as multiculturalism, and satirizes, celebrates and challenges the importance of theatre as an art form today. There is a 7:30 curtain for the three consecutive Sunday shows on September 26, October 3 and October 10.

Scapegoat Carnivale Theatre returns to the Centaur Theatre Company's Brave New Looks series after its three-time Mecca award-nominated production of Life is a Dream, to present Euripides' Medea, featuring a new translation by Andreas Apergis and Joseph Shragge. The play will be directed by Alison Darcy and Andreas Apergis, with original music by Brian Lipson, musical direction by David Oppenheim, set and costume design by Amy Keith, lighting design by David Perreault Ninacs, and production/stage management by Melanie St. Jacques. France Rolland will be playing Medea, opposite Andreas Apergis as Jason. The rest of the talented cast includes founder and former Artistic Director of the Centaur Theatre Maurice Podbrey, as well as Montreal-based actors George Bekiaris, Stefanie Buxton, Dusan Dukic, Diana Fajrajsl, Holly Gauthier Frankel, Alex Ivanovici, Gitu Jain, Melissa Trottier, Lindsay Wilson, Elijah Flomen and Thomas Rolland Apergis, and musician John Dodge.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced complete casting for the New York premiere of AFTER THE REVOLUTION, a new play by Amy Herzog (Missed Connections, 508 at Ars Nova, Hungry at EST). Directed by Carolyn Cantor (Essential Self-Defense at PH, Pumpgirl, Orange Water Flower), the production will begin previews Thursday, October 21 at 7:30 PM. With an Opening Night set for Tuesday, November 9 at 7PM, the limited engagement will play through Sunday, November 28 at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street). AFTER THE REVOLUTION will be the second production of the theater company's 40th Anniversary Season.
