In the inaugural Storefront Playwright Project, the League of Chicago Theatres will provide window space at Expo 72 for emerging and established playwrights to work on a current writing project in view of the public in collaboration with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. From a large screen in a window facing the sidewalk, the public will be able to read what the playwright is writing and watch the creation of the next great Chicago play in real time. The Storefront Playwright Project will take place at Expo72 located at 72 E. Randolph St. in downtown Chicago, December 4 - 22, 2012, Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Ann Hampton Callaway joins the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra for the NJSO's first pops program of the season-"Holidays with the NJSO"-December 15 in Newark and December 16 in New Brunswick. Cincinnati Pops conductor John Morris Russell, who last led the NJSO in a classical program in March 2012, conducts the holiday program, which also features the Masterwork Chorus.

Inspired by Rosa, Soledad's mother, the term "Quebradas" literally translates into "women turning oneself inside out." It is also a flamenco dance term that refers to a dance move that only women perform, which requires a woman to perform with her chest off its axis.
'Blood Brothers,' one of the longest-running musical productions in the history of theater, will be staged at West Springfield's Majestic Theater September 13 - October 28, according to Producing Director Danny Eaton, who will also direct the play. The play launches the 16th season of theater since the Majestic's revival in 1997.
