The Independent Voices Festival enters its final weekend with four diverse productions. These productions include two solo performance pieces, a world premiere by a local playwright and the premiere of a new work by Norristown Educational Theatre for youth.

Bronx-born singer-songwriter Gregg Robins released a new CD ‘Everything That Matters.' The CD is a collection of songs which he wrote and recorded with talented musicians from Switzerland, Germany and Russia. Since its release, the album has garnered critical acclaim in the U.S., with comparisons to 'some of the best of early Paul Simon' and Cat Stevens. Gregg has also been profiled in the Moscow press and has television and concert appearances scheduled for this year in both Moscow and Geneva.

Overlooking Symphony Park, the beautiful club called Cabaret Jazz will spotlight some of the world's most gifted jazz artists and cabaret entertainers at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts beginning March 2012. Quest Theatre Ensemble steps into the center ring with The People's Barnum, directed by Andrew Park and musical directed by Tobi Mattingly. Ars Nova (Jason Eagan, Artistic Director; Jeremy Blocker, Managing Director) kicks off its 2012 season with The Urban Dictionary Plays, by Ars Nova's Play Group. Set to play 10 performances only from February 1-11, this year's incarnation of Ars Nova's annual Play Group production redefines the short play genre, featuring original short plays and live music inspired by the irreverent entries on urbandictionary.com.

Academy Award®-nominated actor Chazz Palminteri will return to the stage for a limited engagement run of his critically acclaimed one-man show "A Bronx Tale."
