Face the Music, an ensemble of 20 classically-trained musicians ranging from sixth to twelfth grade dedicated to performing today's most compelling and creative new music, will be presented by Simone Dinnerstein's PS 321 Neighborhood Concerts in a concert called 'Beating Down the Doors' on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 7pm at PS 321 (180 7th Avenue, Brooklyn) in Park Slope. The performance is open to the public and raises funds for the school's Parent Teacher Association.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center and the New Jersey Youth Theatre (NJYT) announced audition dates for their summer musical collaboration on the Broadway-changing, Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning rock musical, RENT. The production is part of the Arts Center's Summer Musical Program and is scheduled to run in NJPAC's Victoria Theater July 16-25 and tour to the Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan, NJ July 30-August 8.

This year, our kids' series takes a sharp turn to starboard for How I Became a Pirate, a colorfully hilarious musical adventure on the high seas! Adapted by Alyn Cardarelli, with music by Steve Goers, How I Became A Pirate runs at 10:30am on March 26, April 8 and 9; 11am on March 27 and April 10; and at 10:30am, 1pm and 3:30pm on April 3.
