Canadian Stage unveiled its highly anticipated 2010-2011 season today, marking the first season programmed by Artistic & General Director Matthew Jocelyn. The Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden invites children to travel back in time with Neighborhood History Camp, a children's summer day camp that explores the Museum and the history of New York City, for two weeks in July. Taking place Mondays-Fridays July 12th-16th (8:30 AM-3:00 PM) for children age 9-12 and July 19th-23rd (9:00 AM-12:00 PM) for children age 6-8 from, Neighborhood History Camp uses the Museum's landmark East Side Manhattan building as a focal point for hands-on, fun-filled, history-centered activities that include craft projects (making ice cream and journaling with quills and ink), games, architectural tours and field trips. Campers who are interested in exploring life in 19th-century New York City are welcome to an Open House at the Museum on Sunday, April 11th, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The camp is led by experienced professional counselors and takes place in the Museum's historic building, its beautiful surrounding gardens and adjacent air-conditioned auditorium.

Ravinia Festival's 2010 Gala Benefit Evening will honor the 80th birthday of the great American composer Stephen Sondheim with a program featuring an incredible lineup of soloists who have been featured in Ravinia's Sondheim celebrations since they began in 2001. The evening reunites the on-stage and behind-the-scenes talent that created Ravinia's acclaimed productions of Sondheim's shows, several of which have gone onto other cities. The evening will star Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, George Hearn and Michael Cerveris.
