Seven New Orleans authors and performers join New York writer Blaise Allysen Kearsley for a hilarious, outrageous, touching evening of literature and music called HOW I LEARNED ABOUT SEX. From childhood stories of curiosity to adult tales of lovemaking gone very, very awry, audiences will reel through eight tales told from eight very different perspectives - male, female, straight, gay, young, and...less young. It's blue enough to please the prurient, but silly enough for the straightlaced, too.

August: Osage County, the 2008 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play that tells the bitingly funny and sensationally entertaining tale of the Weston family of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, is coming to Boston's Colonial Theatre May 4 - 16 for two weeks only.

The Arts Council of Indianapolis, in partnership with IndyFringe, has announced opportunities for artists for various upcoming events in Indianapolis.

Casting directors can tell you what they want to see at an audition. But, in this workshop you'll discover how to actually get there, from the actor's perspective! This full-day workshop will lead actors through the process of booking the job, using unique audition strategies that allow the actor to win every time! And, we'll focus on the mechanics and special techniques required to nail your audition in front of the camera. All participants will be video-taped, using actual scenes from television shows and movies that have been auditioned and filmed in our area.

The Edge Theatre Company will hold auditions for The Shadow Box by Michael Kristofer on April 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM and on April 25 at 5:00 PM at South Pointe High School. Those auditioning should prepare a contemporary monologue and be prepared to read from the script. Please provide a headshot and resume if available. Please come with all known conflicts at the time of the audition. This production will be directed by Russell Luke. Performance dates are June 10-13, 2010.

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will continue its Shelterhouse Theatre season with the world premiere of THE HISTORY OF INVULNERABILITY by David Bar Katz. This remarkable new play about fantasy and reality in the 20th century begins previews in the Playhouse's Thompson Shelterhouse Theatre April 3 and continues through May 2.
