The Storybook Theater Company has announced that it will be holding auditions for Wiley and the Hairy Man by Suzan Zeder, directed by Darlene Stewart on Wednesday, March 10 at 10:00 a.m.

Middle East America: A National New Plays Initiative, created by Golden Thread Productions in San Francisco, the Lark Play Development Center in New York, and Silk Road Theatre Project in Chicago, is gearing up for the second round of the program which represents the first national effort to actively cultivate and support the development of Middle Eastern-American playwrights and their plays.

On Sunday, March 28, 2010, Broadway's Ann Harada, Christine Toy Johnson, Raymond J. Lee, Deborah Lew, Jose Llana and Ann Sanders will sing in A HELLUVA TOWN, a concert to benefit the documentary film, TRANSCENDING - THE WAT MISAKA STORY and celebrate the release of the DVD. The concert, directed by Tony Award winner Michele Pawk with musical direction by Marco Paguia, will feature songs from the 1946-47 Broadway season.

Sandgate Theatre's performance of Sleuth is scheduled for May 2010. If you would like to be in the cast, we have auditions arranged for Tuesday 16th of March at 7:30pm at Sandgate Town Hall.

Go Comedy! Improv Theater announces that space is still available for its Spring 2010 term at Go U! The Improv Academy. Classes include Intro to Improv, Advanced Improv, and Sketch Comedy Writing.

The Blaine Jarrett Memorial Scholarship Fund, a fund managed by Buck Creek Players, is pleased to announce the availability of the Blaine Jarrett Memorial Scholarship. Any graduating high school senior or college freshman who is currently enrolled or accepted into a performing arts related major/minor at a college or university is eligible to apply. Majors/minors which will be considered include: dance, theater performance, technical theater, instrumental music, vocal music, or related field. Recipients will be based on the applicant's participation, accomplishments, and involvement in the performing arts in the Central Indiana region. Recipients will receive a minimum scholarship of $1,000. Applications are available to download on the scholarship's website and must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2010 to be considered for a scholarship this year.

Wide-eyed Scout watches her father face off against a town divided by race. From everyday life to an epic courtroom drama, Scout learns the universal truths of humanity.

On The Verge Productions will present the world premiere of High School Drama, Scott Tobin's semi-autobiographical play about the struggling relationship between a high school drama teacher and her husband. The show will be directed by Jason Sudy.

The Castillo Theatre presents The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, a co-production of City Lights Youth Theatre and Youth Onstage.

Seattle Repertory Theatre celebrates the 25th anniversary of August Wilson's beloved story of baseball and family, Fences. The play is being staged in a number of notable productions across the country, including on Broadway next month. Seattle Rep's production, which plays March 26-April 18, 2010, is proud to include Wilson's widow Constanza Romero as the costume designer.

The Barn Players have changed the dates for auditions for ASSASSINS, music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by John Weidman. Directed by Damron Russell Armstrong, musical direction by Martha Risser. After undergoing a national search for a new Artistic Director, Actors' Shakespeare Project announced today the choice of Allyn Burrows for the position. Burrows, who has held the position of Acting Artistic Director for the past five months, will assume the permanent role of Artistic Director immediately. Cynthia Good, a longtime board member and Chair of the Search Committee, expresses A.S.P.'s delight at the choice of Burrows, saying, 'Allyn embodies the aesthetic and working vision of A.S.P. He comes to us understanding the vibrancy of the language of Shakespeare and the collaborative nature of our work with the company and the community. He will help us move into the next phase of our future.'

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) today announced the theatre will, for the first-time in its 45-year history, stage one of the theatre's most sought-after musicals, 'Annie.'
