Arts Centre Melbourne's inaugural Arts Club Winter Gala will be held this month to help provide access to the arts for children and community groups disadvantaged by distance or circumstance. The June 1 event has been organised by The Arts Club, a membership group of budding philanthropists formed in 2014 to advocate for support and investment into one of Australia's most important cultural institutions.

A contemporary work from 'the most adventurous downtown playwright of her generation', according to The New York Times, STRAIGHT WHITE MEN written by Young Jean Lee, will have its South Australian premiere in this brand new production in collaboration with Brisbane's La Boite Theatre Company.

On 22 July, the 2016 winner of the $100,000 Basil Sellers Art Prize will be announced and the exhibition showcasing the finalists' work will open to the public. Seventeen finalists (including two collaborative pairs) have been selected for the fifth and final Basil Sellers Art Prize, to be presented at the Ian Potter Museum of Art in July.

The Azrieli Music Project (AMP) is proud to announce that composer Wlad Marhulets is the winner of the inaugural Azrieli Prize in Jewish Music for his Klezmer Clarinet Concerto. This July, The Butterfly Club presents AUTO BIO QUEEN. The Hampstead Theatre has announced its Autumn season 2016 for the Main Stage. Leading off in September is the world premiere of Beth Steel's compelling new thriller LABYRINTH, directed by Anna Ledwich.

International award-winning Broadway and West End musical Chicago is set to razzle dazzle audiences at the Lyceum Theatre from Monday 6 to Saturday 11 June, starring stage and television stars John Partridge as Billy Flynn and Hayley Tamaddon as Roxie Hart, with X-Factor winner Sam Bailey as Matron 'Mama' Morton.
