The season three premiere of OWN's popular drama series “Queen Sugar” (5/29/18) delivered 2.1 million viewers and ranked as Tuesday night's #1 cable telecast in OWN's key demographic of women 25-54 (L+3). The acclaimed drama from award-winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay and executive producer Oprah Winfrey was also the night's #1 telecast across all of broadcast and cable for African-American women.

The Park Theatre's River Street Theatre (RST) continues its Vincent Price Film Festival with a screening of the first film adaptation of Richard Matheson's 1954 cult sci-fi/horror classic “I Am Legend.” The 1964 film starring Vincent Price was re-titled The Last Man on Earth. This rarely seen gem will be shown at the RST this Saturday, June 9 at 7pm. Tickets are $5.00.

Encore telecasts of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” have delivered a 0.45 rating in adults 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall for the late-night ratings week of May 28-June 1, to outrate CBS' rebroadcast week of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in all key demographics – adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

Oxygen Media, the destination for high quality crime programming, continues its “Cruel Summer” programming with the premieres of two upcoming original series on Mondays. Beginning Monday, June 11 at 8pm ET/PT, “The Price of Duty” debuts, which follows homicide detectives as they recount the most haunting case of their careers. The following week, “In Defense Of” premieres on Monday, June 25 at 9pm ET/PT exploring the complex relationships between notorious defendants and the attorneys who represented them from Ted Bundy and Jodi Arias to Timothy McVeigh. Previously launched series, “Buried in the Backyard” and “A Wedding and a Murder” continue to air new original episodes on Sundays at 7pm ET/PT and 8pm ET/PT respectively. 

Telemundo Deportes, the exclusive Spanish-language home of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, today released its complete game broadcast schedule for the World Cup, which includes all 64 games airing live on Telemundo or Universo, with same-day encore presentations of each game every night on Universo. City Parks Foundation, in partnership with Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams and Council Member Mark Treyger are thrilled to announce that SummerStage is returning to theFord Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk in Brooklyn this summer for five free concerts between June and August.

The Country Music Association has announced Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini will return for a second year as hosts of “CMA Fest,” the three-hour special that brings Country Music's Ultimate Fan Experience to a national television audience. “CMA Fest” airs Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 8/7c on the ABC Television Network and is executive produced by Robert Deaton.

Sundance Now, AMC Networks' premium streaming service, announced it has come aboard season two of the thrilling crime drama, “Riviera.” The series, which is currently shooting on location in Nice, will be available to stream on Sundance Now in 2019. Joining the cast for season two is Alex Lanipekun (“Homeland,” “The Borgias,” “24”), as well as the previously announced Will Arnett (“Arrested Development”),Juliet Stevenson (Truly, Madly, Deeply), Poppy Delevingne (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Jack Fox (“Dracula”), and Grégory Fitoussi (World War Z). Israel Nash, the Texas' genre-bending rock 'n' roller, announces an extensive Summer and Fall North American tour in support of his new album, Lifted,  out July 27th, 2018 via Desert Folklore Music/Thirty Tigers. Kicking off with a hometown album release show at Austin's Scoot Inn on Friday, July 27th, Israel Nash and his band will bring their incendiary live show to over 25 cities across the country this summer and fall. Celebrating its 50th Anniversary as a science-fiction classic, Planet of the Apes will headline the next Art Directors Guild (ADG) Film Society's 2018 screening series at the Egyptian Theater on Sunday, June 24 at 5:30 pm. A conversation withPlanet of the Apes Oscar®-nominated Production Designer William J. Creber, ADG (The Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno) will follow the movie exploring the making of the cult film and its timeless designs, moderated by Film Society Founder John Muto, ADG. The annual ADG Screening Series “Production Design: Designers on Design,” highlighting the work of renowned Production Designers and their creative collaborations, is in association with American Cinematheque and sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter.
