Infusing bass stabs and deep 808s, Australia's Badrappermakes his New Noise debut with “SWISHER,” a trap-heavy collaboration with NXSTY. Newcomer Badrapper has quickly made a splash in the Soundcloud trapsphere, thanks big flips of Ekali & Denzel Curry's “Babylon” and What So Not & Burns' “Trust.” Paired with his original material, Badrapper accumulated over half a million collective streams in the past year. His production chops and energetic shows lead to a recent signing with Maker Agency, home to fellow Aussies What So Not, Nina Las Vegas, Enschway, and LUUDE. The Sydney native closed 2017 with a bang, embarking on his debut tour and also supporting Boombox Cartel at the year's end. 

Part western balladeer, part borderland chronicler, songwriter GEORGE ST. CLAIR is a master of conjuring feelings and images of lives past and present. Growing up on the high plains of Texas put George in touch with the vastness of the American West, and his songs evoke the dry deserts, rolling grasslands, and high mountains of his West Texas homeland. Living for the past several years in the UK has given him a renewed perspective on the land where he grew up, and these reflections take shape on his new album BALLADS OF CAPTIVITY AND FREEDOM. Although George is based in Europe, the album was recorded at Bird and Egg Studios in Richmond, CA, mixed by Ben Bernstein at Petting Zoo Studios in Oakland, and will release in stores and online worldwide March 2, 2018.

Rock/Americana singer Sherman Ewing delivers 'a sense of celebration of the here-and-now' on his February 16th album, 'Come and Meet Me'. Duncan Alanson Spencer (1911-1999), the legendary Scenic Artist behind some of Hollywood's greatest films, will be honored by the Art Directors Guild Gallery 800 (ADG, IATSE Local 800) in a special exhibit entitled “The Golden Brush: A Tribute to Duncan Alanson Spencer.” Spencer's career spanned over 38 years and over 400 movies including The Wizard of Oz, White Christmas, Meet Me in St. Louis and Ziegfeld Follies. The exhibit opens with a hosted opening reception on Saturday, February 10 from 5 - 9pm and will run through April 7, 2018.

The nominees for the 47th Annual JUNO Awards were announced today by The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) at a press conference at The Great Hall in Toronto. Canada's premier talent will head west for JUNO Week 2018, hosted in Vancouver from March 19 through March 25. The week-long celebration will culminate in a live broadcast of The JUNO Awards on CBC on Sunday, March 25 from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC.

AARP The Magazine's 17th Annual Movies for Grownups® Awards were held tonight at the Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills, celebrating 2017's standout films with unique appeal to movie lovers with a grownup state of mind and recognizing the inspiring artists who make them. ESSENCE, the preeminent brand for African-American women, has announced the honorees for its prestigious “Black Women in Hollywood Awards.” The highly anticipated annual Oscar-week celebration—which returns as a daytime luncheon—will be held on Thursday, March 1st, at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, CA.

The 10-episode, half-hour dramedy is created by Ben York Jones (Like Crazy, Newness) and Michael Mohan (Save the Date, Pink Grapefruit), who will both serve as executive producers.

Music fans wanting a little variety with their summer tour package will get that very thing with the “Poison…Nothin' But A Good Time 2018” tour. The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain will tour the U.S. in April 2018, bringing their “Heresy II Heritage” Tour to Boston, Atlanta, Madison, and 9 other cities across the Midwest and the Eastern seaboard. The program pokes fun at the stiff upper lip of the ensemble's British roots, and will include music from their recent studio album, “By Request: Songs from the Setlist” – a selection of fan favorites that ranges from the Beverly Hillbillies theme to ACDC's “Highway to Hell.”

The Following Mountain, Sam Amidon's sixth album overall and his third for Nonesuch Records, is his first album of original songs. A deeply personal synthesis of folk-based song form and experimental improvisation, it 'feels like a liberation' (Uncut) and 'provides constant, jolting surprises' (The Guardian). Steve Earle and The Dukes announce spring tour dates in support of Copperhead Road's 30th anniversary. The Warner Bros. Records artist will celebrate his 1988 release starting on March 16th in El Dorado, Arkansas through April 15th in Peekskill, New York.
