The Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, will open its 17th edition with the world premiere of LOVE, GILDA onWednesday, April 18, 2018. CNN Films presents the feature length documentary - produced by 3 Faces Films in association with Motto Pictures - which opens a window into the world of celebrated Emmy® and Grammy® award-winning comedian Gilda Radner who became a cultural icon the moment audiences first laughed with her on Saturday Night Live's debut episode. The official trailer for upcoming thrilled BAD SAMARITAN directed by Dean Devlin has officially been released. In BAD SAMARITAN, a valet (Robert Sheehan) develops a clever scam to burglarize the houses of rich customers. Things go smoothly until he robs the wrong customer (David Tennant), and discovers a woman being held captive in his home. Afraid of going to prison, he leaves the woman there and makes a call to the police, who find nothing when they investigate. Now, the valet must endure the wrath of the kidnapper who seeks revenge on him, all while desperately trying to find and rescue the captive woman he left behind. BAD SAMARITAN opens in theaters March 30, 2018. 

Ruler, the project of Seattle-based musician Matt Batey (best known for his work with Rocky Votolato and Cataldo), is premiering the new single “Not Your Friend” alongside the track's video at Under the Radar. Under the Radar raves that “Not Your Friend” “beautifully captures the emotive current of the Pacific Northwest indie sound,” while noting that, “built on the principle coming from poet Robert Frost that the best way out is through, Ruler's music is deeply personal.”

In D.W. Young's new dramatic feature, a man crossing Maine at the end of a solo cross country bicycle trip strikes up an unlikely friendship with an ex-Marine and his oddball younger sister. At the same time he reconnects remotely with his estranged but dying father in Germany and finds himself forced to make an irrevocable decision. The film is on iTunes and Amazon Video on Demand February 20th.

Leading British festival and conference FOCUS Wales has detailed its SXSW showcase, set to take place at The Townsend on Wednesday March 14th, with doors at 7:30pm. The showcase will feature the brightest music that Wales will offer the conference, with performances from Rachel K Collier, Doc Daneeka, Himalayas, Stella Donnelly, Dan Bettridge, and Christopher Rees. FOCUS Wales is presenting the showcase in partnership with Wales Arts International.

NYU Tisch School of the Arts today announced it will honor notable alumni Academy Award nominated producer, director and screenwriter Chris Columbus ('80) and filmmaker Eleanor Columbus ('11) at its 2018 gala. The annual event will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Capitale.

Sentinel Pictures and XYZ Films announced today that Amber Heard has been cast as the lead in the romantic thriller RUN AWAY WITH ME, directed by Fred Grivois. Based on an original screenplay by Matthew Ian Cirulnick and produced by Adam Brawer and David Beitchman of Sentinel Pictures, the film will be executive produced by Nate Bolotin and Aram Tertzakian of XYZ with Raphaël Rocher of Empreinte Cinema also serving as an executive producer. RUN AWAY WITH ME is scheduled for production later this year with XYZ handling worldwide sales at the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin. Sentinel Pictures acquired this as an original pitch by Cirulnick and they developed it together.

According to Variety, Arnold Schwarzenegger could be joining the cast of upcoming Amazon produced western series OUTRIDER. The former California governor is also executive producing the series currently in development Amazon Studios.
