Iconic Newfoundland singer-songwriter, best-selling author, actor and recent recipient of the Order of Canada, Alan Doyle will be continuing his U.S. tour starting on February 27th. After a successful run of dates in January that brought Doyle to Seattle, Los Angeles, Denver, Houston and more, the singer-songwriter will be returning for a new string of dates from the Midwest through Northeast with his incredibly talented touring band. Wilco's Jeff Tweedy will embark on a solo acoustic tour of North America in April in support of his recently released album Together At Last. The tour goes on sale tomorrow (Feb. 9) via Wilcoworld.net and includes performances in multiple Canadian cities rarely visited by Tweedy as a solo performer or with his band Wilco, as well as concerts in several Eastern US cities including the High Water Festival in Charleston, SC and later, in June, at the Clearwater Festival in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.

HBO has entered into a deal with Crooked Media, the media company founded by Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett and Tommy Vietor, to bring the hit political podcast “Pod Save America” to the network this fall for a series of hour-long specials on the campaign trail, it was announced today by Casey Bloys, president, HBO Programming.

Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired North American rights to the mystical, LGBT drama PLAY THE DEVIL. Breaking Glass acquired rights to the film in February in a deal negotiated between Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff and Bahamian writer/director Maria Govan (Rain) of Play the Devil Pictures Limited. The film will arrive on DVD & VOD on May 15.

Abramorama, in association with Concord Music, announced today (2/8) they will present a special limited theatrical run of Concert for George, remastered in 5.1 Stereo Surround Sound beginning February 20, 2018. February 25th marks what would have been George Harrison's 75th birthday. Due to an overwhelming response from theaters in North America, the film has already been booked into more than 75 theaters in the U.S. and Canada, with the list growing daily. The International roll-out of the film will be announced next week.  

The Cinema Audio Society announced that Dolby Laboratories has signed on as Title Level Sponsorship and Pre-Show Party Host for the upcoming 54th CAS Awards.

Grace Jones: Bloodlight And Bami, director and editor Sophie Fiennes' critically acclaimed documentary exploring the public and private worlds of the legendary artist, is set for theatrical release nationwide this spring, following its highly regarded debut at the 2017 Toronto Film Festival. Kino Lorber is distributing the film in the United States and Canada.

According to Variety, Joaquin Phoenix is in talks to tackle the iconic role of the Joker in Warner Bros. and Todd Phillips' untitled Joker origin movie. Todd Phillips has made it clear that Phoenix is the top choice for the role, though studio negotiations are not yet underway. Sources have told Variety that Phoenix has agreed to the role. WB has yet to comment. Phillips is set to co-write and direct the film. 

Shoshana Bean's new album Spectrum drops tomorrow, February 9th, and the superstar vocalist just announced a pop-up show tomorrow night at Rockwood Music Hall.

New York City's MisterWives is bringing its impressive live show back on the road beginning in April, this week announcing the Let The Light In Tour, a headlining run set to take the band to several cities which have yet to experience their sophomore album Connect The Dots. Following the headlining jaunt, the band will join up with 30 Seconds To Mars' The Monolith Tour in June for a month of amphitheater dates and a return to Madison Square Garden.
