In a special Valentine's Day surprise, New York underground legends Oneida have shared a new track from their upcoming album Romance. “Good Lie,” an exploratory track foregrounding hypnotic synth interplay, premiered this morning along with an interview on Dangerous Minds. “Good Lie” showcases the massive scope of Romance, which shows Oneida exploring a multitude of approaches to psychedelic music, from long-form freakouts to compact, tightly wound songs. “Good Lie” builds layers of electronics that crest into a stately climax of interlocking rhythms and pulses of static.

The story of the now-forgotten but profoundly influential pioneer of the modern birth control rights movement in the United States is the subject of a new feature project in development by Branded Pictures Entertainment (BPE) and Corstoria. Tentatively titled “Privacy,” the film will focus on activist Bill Baird, whose successful 1972 “Eisenstadt v. Baird” Supreme Court case legalized birth control for single people nationwide, and solidified privacy as a constitutionally protected right.

Tony Award-winner Renee Elise Goldsberry (Broadway's 'Hamilton') will perform the theme song for Disney Junior's highly-anticipated animated series 'Muppet Babies,' premiering this March on Disney Channel. The iconic theme song has been reimagined for a whole new generation of young viewers by the acclaimed songwriting team of Kay Hanley, Michelle Lewis and Dan Petty ('Doc McStuffins'). It will be released by Walt Disney Records on Friday, February 23.

Netflix has announced the first six episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season four launch on May 30, 2018. The second half of the fourth season will launch later in 2018. 

ACTORS OF SOUND, a documentary that features interviews from many well-known Foley artists in the industry today, will be released on February 27th via Freestyle Digital Media. The film, which premiered at LA Film Festival and was also nominated for Best Documentary Feature at last year's Nashville Film Fest, is directed and produced by Lalo Molina.

According to Deadline,  Finn Wittrock of American Horror Story Fame has been cast in the upcoming film JUDY, joining previously cast Renee Zellweger in the role of Judy Garland. The film is centered around the final London concerts of the great Judy Garland. Wittrock is set to play Mickey Deans, the fifth and final husband of the legend. 

On Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 2:30pm, composer Robert Sirota's Birds of Paradise – performed by flutist Linda Chesis, clarinetist David Valbuena, and pianist Alexandre Moutouzkine – will be presented on flutist Linda Chesis' Manhattan School of Music Faculty Recital, For the Birds, in the School's Greenfield Hall (120 Claremont Avenue). Birds of Paradise was commissioned and premiered by the Webster Trio in 2008 at the National Flute Association annual convention in Kansas City, MO. This performance will include commissioned videography by Jim Berman. Sirota explains, “In 2014, Linda Chesis programmed Birds of Paradise on the Cooperstown Music Festival. Having discovered the absolutely fantastic video footage of actual birds of paradise taken in New Guinea by the Cornell Birds of Paradise lab, she commissioned a video from Jim Berman to be performed with my piece.”

Alanis Morissette will headline the festival's Saturday line up on July 14th. The Queen of Alt-Rock and author of the iconic 'Jagged Little Pill' album which has sold over 33 million copies since its release in 1995 will be the headline artist for the festival in Great Tew Park.
