This Wednesday, the world's best athletes and biggest stars will join host Danica Patrick for "The 2018 ESPYS Presented by Capital One" on ABC. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Murphy has cast Laura Dreyfuss (DEAR EVAN HANSEN), Zoey Deutch (Netflix's Set It Up), Lucy Boynton (Bohemian Rhapsody), and Rahne Jones in his upcoming comedy The Politician. They join Barbra Streisand and Gwyneth Paltrow the upcoming hourlong comedy starring Ben Platt that landed at Netflix with a two-season order. The four will also be series regulars.

MTV today announced nominations across all gender neutral categories for the 2018 “VMAs.” The list includes dozens of artists whose reach and influence have elevated music's relevancy within the cultural conversation.  Cardi B received nods in 10 categories, including “Video,” “Song” and “Artist of the Year,” and The Carters secured eight, including “Video of the Year,” “Best Collaboration” and “Best Hip Hop” for their recent hit single “APES**T.” Other top contenders include Childish Gambino, Drake and Bruno Mars.  The “VMAs” will air live from Radio City Music Hall on Monday, August 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, and across MTV's global network of channels in more than 180 countries and territories, reaching more than half a billion households around the world.

PBS today announced its fall 2018 schedule lineup, anchored by THE GREAT AMERICAN READ (Tuesdays, September 11- October 23). Exploring the power, passion and joy of reading, the series is hosted by Meredith Vieira and features reflections from everyday Americans as well as notables. Margaret Atwood, Lauren Graham, John Irving, Bill T.
