Raphael Saadiq just announced his first headline tour dates in several years. The Oscar-nominated and Grammy-winning musician and producer will head out on a seven-city run including headline shows in NYC, Boston, Philadelphia and more, and a performance at Chicago's Pitchfork Festival (read 'The Meaning of Soul Music According to Raphael Saadiq' via the 2017 Pitchfork here). The dates come as he's set to finish work on his anticipated fifth solo album and first since 2011's Stone Rollin'. The upcoming shows follow 2017 performances as a headliner at Afropunk Brooklyn, a surprise appearance with A Tribe Called Quest at FYF Fest 2017, and several dates with Maxwell, among other shows. The Dean Ween Group will be hitting the road this Summer in celebration of therelease of its sophomore album, rock2. The new album was released worldwide earlier this year by Schnitzel Records as limited editions of 180 gram colored vinyl with gatefold sleeve and specially colored CD in digi-pac respectively as well as via digital retailers and streaming services.   Dean Ween - aka The Deaner - recorded the album at his dedicated studio facility in Lambertville, NJ, across the river from his native New Hope, PA.

13 Reasons Why is a new series from Netflix adapted from the best-selling books by Jay Asher. It follows teenager Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette) as he returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker (newcomer Katherine Langford) -his classmate and crush-who tragically committed suicide two weeks earlier. On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Will Clay be one of them? If he listens, he'll find out how he made the list. Through Hannah and Clay's dual narratives, 13 Reasons Why weaves an intricate and heart wrenching story of teenage life that will deeply affect viewers.

Today, Hysterical Kindness, a new collaboration between Emile Hirsch, Chris Sayre and Brian Cohen, announced their debut album Simple Things set for release on June 1st.  The album is a collection of 13 stirring tracks that feature Hirsch's rich melodies and soul-baring lyrics wrapped in Sayre and Cohen's captivating soundscapes.  The first track off the album, 'You' premiered today.
