Nev?da Nevada  is excited to announce their debut EP, Wild and Glowing, out May 25, 2018 available wherever music is streamed or purchased. The album, mostly recorded in 2016, suffered from the lost year of 2017, as it was recorded between Lexington, Kentucky at Shangri La Studios where they laid down the basic tracks withDuane Lundy during their 2016 tour. The band completed the album in Brooklyn, New York at Translator Audio with Andrew Gerhan, the band's guitarist, where they recorded overdubs, vocals, and of course the very popular and very talented angry lady chorus. In addition to front-woman Kathryn Musilek, drummer David Olson and guitarist Andrew Gerhan, there are haunting and dancey strings from cellist Isaiah Gage and violinist Daniel Baer. The angry lady chorus rounds it out, featuring Alicia Berbenick who is now a full member of Nev?da Nevada, Lindsay Giles-McWilliams of Ark Life, Lauren Belfer and Lavinia Jones Wright. 

Austin-based electro-pop ensemble Shy Beastis thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of their brand new single 'My Stride' on Saturday, May 19. There will be an official single release show on Saturday, May 19 at The Mohawk (indoors) located at 912 Red River St., Austin, Texas 78701. Doors are at 9 p.m. Darkbird will kick off the evening at 10:30 p.m.,followed by Shy Beast at 11:30 p.m. and Otis Wilkins at 12:30 a.m. Kimbra will be performing on the outdoor stage that same evening. Today, Wayne Kramer, leader of Detroit's proto-punk/hard rock band MC5, announces 15 concerts and 4 summer festivals for Kick Out the Jams: The 50th Anniversary Tour. MC50 includes guitarist Kim Thayil, drummers Brendan Canty and Matt Cameron, bassists Dug Pinnick and super producer Don Was, and 6'7” powerhouse frontman Marcus Durant. With it, Kramer will be celebrating the landmark anniversary of the MC5's incendiary debut album Kick Out the Jams as well as the release of his memoir The Hard Stuff: Dope, Crime, the MC5, and My Life of Impossibilities, to be published August 16th by Faber & Faber in UK.

Benjamin Lazar Davis (Okkervil River, Cuddle Magic) is sharing an advance stream of his debut solo album Nothing Matters, which is out this Friday and features collaborations with Kimbra, Alex Toth of Rubblebucket, and Bridget Kearney of Lake Street Dive. The record's charming pop sounds have been winning over early fans at NPR, KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, and Consequence of Sound, among others, and Gold Flake Paint, who premiered the album stream, call it 'something both textured and terrific; a varied pop record that takes on various faces but feels bound by something unseen; a lightness of touch like gossamer unseen.'

Transgressive queer singer/performer CHRISTEENE returns with her second album 'Basura', which will be released worldwide on May 22nd and will be available digitally on all platforms and special edition limited vinyl.'Basura'was produced by Peter Stopchinski in Austin, TX, with contributions from veteran Austin musician/composer Graham Reynolds and Thomàs Suire of the French band Infecticide. Following up her raw and singular 2012 debut album 'Waste Up Kneez Down', this second album (the title of which translates from Spanish as 'trash') contains thirteen new songs that are unapologetically queer, primal, and celebratory.CHRISTEENE will play a special record release live show on May 26th in Austin, TX, at the Museum of Human Achievement,and appear in select live U.S. shows throughout the summer. On July 28, she will begin a European summer/fall tour at the Milkshake Festival in Amsterdam, and tour throughout Europe. A full U.S. tour will follow in 2019.

Following the show's recent season-two premiere, HBO has renewed the Emmy®-winning drama series WESTWORLD for a third season, it was announced today by Casey Bloys, president, HBO Programming.

Veteran producers Holly Wofford and Jane Y. Mun have been named as executive producers and showrunners for TKO: TOTAL KNOCK OUT, a new one-hour obstacle course competition series from executive producer Mark Burnett (SURVIVOR, “The Voice,” “Shark Tank”). The 10-episode series will premiere in summer 2018 on CBS. As previously announced, Kevin Hart will serve as the host and an executive producer.

Production has commenced at Pinewood Studios outside London on “The One and Only Ivan,” a live-action/CG hybrid adaptation of the children's book by Katherine Applegate directed by Thea Sharrock (“Me before You”).
