Today, the American Horror Story social media accounts shared a new image revealing the highly-anticipated theme for the eighth season. The upcoming season has been confirmed to be a crossover between Murder House (season 1) and Coven (season 3). Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, and newcomer Joan Collins are all set to star in the upcoming season. YouTube announced that it has ordered a second season of the critically-acclaimed supernatural thriller IMPULSE from Universal Cable Productions (UCP). Since its debut on June 6, the first episode of IMPULSE has generated nearly 8 million views. Season Two of the 10-episode, hour-long series will premiere on YouTube Premium in 2019.

Jason Clark has been cast opposite Helen Mirren in the upcoming HBO and Sky miniseries “Catherine the Great,” Variety has reported.

Skydance Media and Netflix announced today the ensemble cast to their upcoming original feature film 6 Underground directed by Michael Bay ( Transformers ) and starring Ryan Reynolds ( Deadpool ). The action film is based on an original idea from writers and executive producers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, best known for their irreverent work on Deadpool and Deadpool 2 . Skydance's David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger will produce 6 Underground along with Bay and Ian Bryce.

The epic robot-fighting series BattleBots returns with even higher stakes for the second half of its 2018 season as momentum builds towards the 2018 World Championship and the awarding of the Giant Nut to the ultimate BattleBots Champion. Acclaimed American rock band Blackberry Smoke will release The Southern Ground Sessions EP on October 26. Created as an accompaniment to their acclaimed new album, Find A Light, the 6-song EP was recorded live at Southern Ground studio in Nashville, TN and features acoustic versions of five album tracks as well as a rendition of Tom Petty's “You Got Lucky” featuring Amanda Shires. This week, Jean-Michel Blais' acclaimed album, Dans ma main, was short-listed for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize. One of 10 finalists selected by a jury of Canadian music journalists, the winner will be announced at the gala on September 17. “So proud Dans ma main made the Polaris Music Prize short-list,” says Blais. “Congrats and thanks to my team, fans, and of course the people who voted for it.”
