CBGB is having their annual festival from Oct 8th-12th, and they are excited to announce that Stephen Trask, composer of the award-winning musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, will be giving a talk during it. Stephen Trask will speak with A.O. Scott, film critic for the New York Times on Friday, October 10th, at the Helen Mills Theater.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series welcomes Broadway legend Chita Rivera as headliner for An Evening of Song, benefiting the Art Attack Foundation. The event will take place tonight, September 15 at 7pm at Birdland.

Isabel Rose is a creative force of nature...singer, actress, writer and mom. Her second CD, 'Trouble in Paradise,' is being released this fall by BDG Red, a division of Sony Music Entertainment on September 16th. In 'Trouble In Paradise,' Isabel showcases high-energy, imaginative interpretations of standards and contemporary fare from the American songbook.

Yesterday, producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced that this year's Broadway hit BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL will be transferring to the West End's Aldwych Theatre. According to Daily Mail, the producers further announced that the West End production would feature an all-British cast.

Ben Rimalower, famous for his renowned solo piece PATTI ISSUES, has written a new solo piece, which he will begin to star in tonight at the Duplex. BAD WITH MONEY deals with Rimalower's struggles with money and excessive shopping, an addiction that has plagued him throughout his adult life. Directed by Aaron Mark, the play will run for two months, closing on November 6th and beginning tonight (September 4th). In a world premiere production, Babes With Blades Theatre Company is proud to present Witch Slap!, by Jeff Goode, at Raven Theatre West Stage, 6157 N Clark St., in Chicago. Previews will be tonight, August 9, Thursday August 14, and Friday August 15 at 8PM, and Sunday August 10 at 3:30PM. The opening is Saturday, August 16 at 8PM, and the show will run Thursdays-Fridays at 8PM and Sundays at 3:30PM from August 16-September 20.

The St. Louis Muny's cast of THE ADDAMS FAMILY, which ran from July 14th through 20th, created a video remix of Beyonce's 'Pretty Hurts.' The remix is very much in the style of the show itself, as each of the actors is clad in creepy, kooky, monster-like costumes.

Natalie Weiss, known for her 'Breaking Down the Riffs' series, recently made a new video in which she and Andrew Hodge play two auditioners who take their song titles a bit too literally. The video was filmed and edited by Alex Charak, and also features Eric Shorey, Michael Lorz, Melanie Brook, Grace Wall, and Anthony Apicella.

E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt made a promise to Darlene Love that he would produce an album with her, and is excited to finally announce that he's making good on this three decade-old promise.
