Chester Theatre Company is proud to announce its 2016 season, the 27th since the theater was founded in 1990 and the first under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Daniel Elihu Kramer. The four-play season will run from June 30th through August 28th at the Chester Town Hall,15 Middlefield Road, Chester, MA.

According to Variety, Shia LaBeouf's latest performance art piece, #ELEVATED, entailed him riding in a stationary elevator for 24 hours.

Following a short winter hiatus, Catskill's Bridge Street Theatre is now ready to spring back into action. With a new marquee providing greater visibility to travelers along the West Bridge Street corridor and continuing improvements to its interior spaces, 2016 promises to be even more seriously entertaining at what one reviewer has called "the ballsiest theater in the region."

The Seacoast Repertory Theater is offering some light relief from the presidential campaign hoopla and a gray winter with its production of 'The Marvelous Wonderettes,' the hit revue portraying high school classmates with a gleeful parade of pop music from the 1950s and '60s.

The Oyster Mill Playhouse will present One Man Two Guvnors, by Richard Bean, March 4 through March 20 at the theater located at 1001 Oyster Mill Rd in East Pennsboro Twp.  Curtain is at 8 p.m. for all Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows, and 2 p.m. for Sunday matinees.

This week, Birmingham Royal Ballet Director David Bintley and dancers from one of the UK's most prolific dance companies took a step back in time retracing the steps of arguably the world's most famous playwright as they visited the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford upon Avon.

The Alumnae Theatre's New Ideas Festival is an annual, three-week, juried festival of new writing, works-in-progress and experimental theatre, with a different program of plays each week and staged readings on Saturdays at noon. The 2016 festival takes place in the Studio at Alumnae Theatre and runs from March 9-27, 2016.

Today's #Ham4Ham performance features a very special guest, Elmo, who gets both a rendition and explanation of 'The Story of Tonight' by Hamilton's own Christopher Jackson.

The West Broadway Gallery will present an exhibition of Neil Jenney's 'Improved Picassos' from February 14-April 30, 2016. This exhibition will extend the survey of 'Improved Picassos' first seen at Gagosian Gallery on Madison Avenue in 2013 and will include two of the paintings in that exhibition. This is the first time that all of the eight paintings in the series will be exhibited together.

Portland Ovations is proud to announce that Pittsburgh Opera will fully stage and costume the world premiere of Maine composer Daniel Sonenberg's Opera The Summer King during its 2016 -17 season. A Portland Ovations' commission, The Summer Kingwill be Pittsburgh Opera's first world premiere in its 78 year history and will conclude its upcoming season with multiple performances from April 29th through May 7th at the Benedum Center.

Playwright/Actor, Brian Hampton (The Jungle Fun Room, Checking In, Gossip, Church Snitch) has recently launched a web series, “Parent Break.” Hampton, along with Mara McEwin, play Brad and Poppy in this satirical look at two NYC parents … who just need a break.

The Hound of the Baskervilles, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and adapted by Steven Canny and John Nicholson, runs live on stage at the brand new Barrette Center for the Arts in White River Junction, VT, February 24 through March 12.
