The RRazz Room, San Francisco's premier nightclub, will present the legendary Latin pop star "Mr. La Bamba" TRINI LOPEZ from June 26 to July 1. Making his debut at the club, Mr. Lopez will perform his classic hits such as "La Bamba," "If I Had A Hammer," "Lemon Tree," and "America," in addition to a series of classic pop standards by Rodgers & Hart, Irving Berlin and Johnny Mercer from his new CD "Into The Future."
More than 250 children of National Dance Institute present a joy-filled performance of music and dance in the 2012 Event of the Year - Inner Visions: A Celebration of Stevie Wonder. Directed by NDI Master Teaching Artist and Alumna Bianca Johnson, Inner Visions is a reflection of Stevie Wonder's life and the key moments that inspired his groundbreaking music. The show features original choreography set to classics including Uptight; Sir Duke; Signed, Sealed, Delivered; Overjoyed; and For Once in My Life. Inner Visions will feature a special appearance by the 11-year-old piano protege Matthew Whitaker. Performances will be accompanied by a live orchestra and chorus under the direction of Jerome Korman. Featured performers include vocalists Chanda Rule and Gregory Stamper, and select singers of Youth Pride Chorus. Inner Visions is made possible with support from JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Totem Pole Playhouse is proud to present the return of the Totem Pole Players with a new musical pirate adventure. Last season area youngsters watched in delight as two pirates and the hero went on their hilarious adventure to Zombie Island in Pirates and Zombies. Writer/Composer Sean Fri brings the sequel to the Playhouse in Caledonia with Pirates in Space. In this new musical, the hero helps his pirate friends battle the greatest pirate in the galaxy before he tries to destroy the earth. Artistic Director Ray Ficca says, "I am proud to continue the tradition of The Tadpole Players by presenting theatre for young audiences here at Totem Pole. We are extremely grateful to the Rotary Club of Chambersburg Foundation for giving us the funds to make this years production a reality. Continuing in its ongoing efforts of supporting new musical theater works, Eric Schaeffer, Artistic Director of Signature Theatre, announced today that the Tony Award®-winning theatre is commissioning two new musicals under Signature's American Musical Voices Project (AMVP): The Next Generation. Composers Joshua Rosenblum (Einstein's Dreams, Fermat's Last Tango) and Josh Schmidt (Adding Machine, A Minister's Wife) will be creating new musicals for future seasons at Signature. In December of 2011, Mr. Rosenblum and Mr. Schmidt were awarded "honoree grants" and shared selections from projects in development at a special performance held at Signature Theatre.

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT), Jewish Museum Milwaukee (JMM) and the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center (JCC) are collaborating on "Exploring Jewish Voices." During the 2012-2013 season, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre is producing three plays by prominent Jewish playwrights. MCT, JMM & the JCC decided this was an ideal opportunity to partner and provide additional educational and outreach opportunities to the Milwaukee area Jewish community.
Preparations began in earnest this week as actors, technical artists and staff converged on Jackson, Michigan for the 2012 season of the Michigan Shakespeare Festival. As sets were being built, costumes sewn and sound and lighting artist were hard at work, the full acting company began rehearsals for Shakespeare's Richard III and Love's Labour's Lost as well as George Bernard Shaw's classic Pygmalion. At the same time, advance ticket sales continue to outpace all previous records.
