PURE Theatre will present the regional premiere of Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies. Time Stands Still is directed by Randy Neale, and will feature Sharon Graci, Mark Landis, David Mandel, and Katie Smith. The show opens Friday, September 23, and will run through Friday, October 14th. This will be the opening show of PURE Theatre's Ninth Season titled Coming Home. After many years without a permanent location, PURE will be in its new home located at 477 King Street in Downtown Charleston.

Mercury Baroque officially opens its 11th season on Saturday, October 8th at 8:00pm with Encyclopedia Bach-tannica. The program will consist of Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations, which were originally written for a single harpsichord but has been adapted to be performed by a full orchestra.

Producer Steve Margetis and Ethos Performing Arts will present the New York Premiere of The Family Room, a dramedy written by Emmy Award nominee Aron Eli Coleite and directed by Gwenyth Reitz. Penumbra Theatre Company, one of the nation's preeminent African American theatres, announces a powerhouse cast for its production of August Wilson's Two Trains Running directed by Lou Bellamy. Jim Caruso's Cast Party is an extreme open mic that has been running every Monday for the past eight years at Birdland, the historic music room in Manhattan's Theater District.
