Tax season is upon us, and if you're looking for ways to score a refund, here's an example of what NOT to do. Jon Trachtman and Leslie Arthur, out-of-work musicians rooming together in New York, are listing each other as married on tax returns to save money. The day of reckoning comes when the I.R.S. informs the 'couple' they're going to be investigated by a Mr. Spinner. Leslie masquerades as a housewife, aided by Jon's fiancee, Kate. Complicating matters further, Leslie and Kate are having an affair behind Jon's back, Jon's mother drops in unexpectedly to meet her son's fiancee, and Leslie's ex-girlfriend shows up demanding to know why Leslie has changed and won't see her anymore…

The Library of Congress today unveiled "The Library of Congress National Recording Preservation Plan," a blueprint for saving America's recorded sound heritage for future generations. The congressionally mandated plan spells out 32 short- and long-term recommendations involving both the public and private sectors and covering infrastructure, preservation, access, education and policy strategies.

The Dirty Sock Funtime Band performs a concert for families at The Jewish Museum on Sunday, February 24 at 2:00 pm. Nominated Best Kid's Band by Time Out New York Kids, this high energy group brings a carnival atmosphere to its performance, filled with call backs, sing-alongs, dance-alongs and jam-alongs. To celebrate the holiday of Purim, kids are invited to come in costume and dance to such klezmer rock songs as ClownaHagila. Members of the band include lead singer Michael Messer, Adam Jacobs aka Mr. Clown; guitarists Stephen Jacobs and Bill 'Billy Z.' Phillips; bass guitarist Jasper Leak; drummer Sean Dixon; clarinetist/saxophonist Ken Thomson; and dancer Annie Elmer. This concert is for children age 3 and up.
