ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery will present Godspell, performed by our 12-16 year old Theater Conservatory students. One of the biggest Broadway hits of all time from the composer of Wicked, Godspell carries a universal message of kindness, tolerance and love. The cast, along with singing, dancing and acting, will also be playing their own instruments during our new staging of this musical theater classic, directed by Christopher Zinovitch, Becca Orts, Kody Bringman and Ryan Floresca.

The Jewish Museum is launching Dialogue and Discourse, a new series of conversations featuring artists and scholars exploring topics related to current exhibitions and works in the Museum's collection. The Time Out New York Lounge at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues) will celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of its popular weekly open mic night, Songs at the New World, on Monday August 13th. Hot Peas 'N Butter, the family oriented, multicultural, New York City-based touring band, announces the release of their first-ever lullaby recording: Catchin' Some Peazzz. This new album of original lullabies and soft renderings of familiar songs will be available on August 28 (Sony/RED Distribution). Signature Theatre (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) has announced that performances begin tonight for the world premiere of HEARTLESS by Sam Shepard and directed by Daniel Aukin. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access.
