Get ready to swing into fall as Barter Theatre takes audiences on a jungle adventure uniting two worlds into one family with 'Tarzan: The Stage Musical.' Beginning September 14, the story is based on the Disney film, features music by Phil Collins and stars Sean Campos as Tarzan and Holly Williams as Jane, both from Barter's 2008 'Disney's Beauty and the Beast.'

Hartford Stage has been nominated for a chance to be awarded a portion of a $5 million grant from the Chase Community Giving program. The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) has selected Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham as the 2012 recipient of The William Shakespeare Award for Classical Theatre(Will Award). Hartford Stage introduces a new unlimited season subscription called Stage Pass for young adult theater goers ages 18-27. The Stage Pass costs $38, and purchasers will receive unlimited admissions to all Mainstage productions at Hartford Stage for the 2012-2013 season.

Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts today announced that playwright Matthew Lopez, author of this past season's The Whipping Man, will be the 2012-13 Aetna New Voices Fellow at Hartford Stage. The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) welcomes two new faculty members to the Dance Department for the 2012-2013 school year. Beginning this September, Cathy Hazeltine Fallon, Instructor of Children's Dance and Ballet, and Jennifer Markham, Instructor of Ballet, will teach in Franklin and at the school's new satellite location in downtown Hudson. FSPA's Dance Department offers programs for all ages and levels in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, hip hop and lyrical, including classes specifically for boys, adults and beginner teens.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre's Fun Company is ready to launch its brand new season of fun, adventure, and downright silliness. The Fun Company prides itself on producing quality family theater for children of all ages. Last season the Fun Company produced two original shows, one original adaptation, and took a turn at Commedia Del Art. The result was one of the most successful seasons the Fun Company has ever had. This season Julie Heber, director of the Fun Company, plans to follow the same formula. This season, the Fun Company will once again present two original shows, an original adaptation, and a piece of Commedia Theater.
