Encore Series, Inc., presenter of Peter Nero and The Philly POPS®, today announced Michael Krajewski, the principal pops conductor of the Houston Symphony, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, will be the guest conductor of the Bond and Beyond concert series on April 26, 27, 28, 2013. Maestro Krajewski replaces the late Marvin Hamlisch, who was slated to guest conduct the series.

Disney today announced that the touring production of THE LION KING will play the Birmingham Hippodrome from Saturday 29th June 2013 as part of its first-ever UK tour. The legendary musical, which premiered in Bristol on Friday 31st August will visit Birmingham for a three-month season, giving audiences the opportunity to experience the global phenomenon in their local theatre.

The season opens September 11 with a performance at St. Patrick's Cathedral, under the auspices of the September Concert Foundation, in commemoration of those affected by the 9/11 tragedy. The NYCS will perform the Gloria in Excelsis from Vivaldi's Gloria, excerpts from Morten Lauridsen's Lux Aeterna, and the American Spiritual, Do Lord Remember Me, arranged by Andre J. Thomas.
