The Multicultural Diversity Progamming Committee and Arts and Cultural Events at Salt Lake Community College present acclaimed Poet and Spoken Word Artist, Mayda del Valle, on September 24th, 2012.

Luna Stage has announced a partnership with Diversity Youth Theater to offer year round performing arts programming for young artists in the New Jersey and New York area, recognizing the value in their combined arts and educational strengths. The partnership has recently completed a successful summer program, which culminated in a wonderful sold out production where public demand sparked the addition of four additional shows.

The Sundance Institute Theatre Program is now accepting submissions for the 2013 Sundance Institute Theatre Lab, which will return to the Sundance Resort in Sundance, Utah. Under the supervision of Philip Himberg, Artistic Director, and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the three-week Lab (July 8-28, 2013) is the centerpiece of the Theatre Program's year-round work and is designed to develop emerging and established artists and to create a place where their original work can be effectively mentored and challenged.

Full casting has been announced for the upcoming national tour of THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a new musical based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, which will make its North Texas premiere October 2-21, 2012, presented by Dallas Summer Musicals at the Music Hall at Fair Park.

David Salle will open Ariel and Other Spirits, an exhibition presented in conjunction with the Met premiere of Thomas Ades's The Tempest, at the Arnold & Marie Schwartz Gallery Met on September 25. Salle has created a suite of paintings and watercolors for the show, which relate to both Ades's opera and the Shakespeare play. Ariel and Other Spirits will be on display in Gallery Met through January 12. The Tempest, conducted by the composer and directed by Robert Lepage, opens October 23.

First Folio Theatre (Mayslake Peabody Estate, 31st St. & Rt. 83) presents THE MADNESS OF EDGAR ALLAN POE: A LOVE STORY, an original play by Executive Director David Rice. This critically acclaimed production first premiered in 2006 and sold out the entire run. The riveting tale of life and death, love and heartbreak previews September 26, opens Saturday, September 29 at 8 p.m. and runs through November 4. THE MADNESS OF EDGAR ALLAN POE: A LOVE STORY is directed by Michael Goldberg (Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing and A Midsummer Night's Dream at First Folio) and stars Christian Gray as 'Edgar Allan Poe' (A Moon for the Misbegotten at First Folio Theatre, A Christmas Carol at Drury Lane Theatre, and Richard II at Writers' Theatre).

'Unfinished Songs,' a new song from Celine Dion and songwriter Diane Warren, was written and recorded for the upcoming British film Song For Marion. Written and directed by Paul Andrew Williams, Song For Marion will be closing the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Saturday, September 15. The song will be included on Celine's upcoming English-language album, Water And A Flame, to be released this coming November.

Johnny Hallyday will continue his world concert tour with a performance in New York City at The Beacon Theatre on Sunday, October 7th. The Beacon Theatre show marks the first concert hall performance in New York City of Hallyday's impressive 50-year career.

Signature Theatre (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director) welcomes Claire van der Boom (HBO's "The Pacific" & CBS' "Hawaii Five-0") to the cast of Sam Shepard's HEARTLESS, directed by Daniel Aukin. Claire van der Boom will play the role of 'Sally', replacing Julianne Nicholson whose prior commitments prevent her from performing during the two week extension through Sunday, September 30.
