The all-new production of JEKYLL & HYDE will make its Philadelphia premiere for a holiday engagement on Dec. 26 - 30 at the Forrest Theatre. Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis will star in the title dual role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde, alongside Grammy Award nominee and R&B superstar Deborah Cox as Lucy. The press opening will be Wednesday, Dec. 26 at 7:30 pm.

In New York, THIRTEEN will air the program Monday, November 26 at 8 p.m.

This January, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) presents its 2013 Winter Festival: Air and the Atmosphere-the third season of a multi-year odyssey spotlighting the symbolic power of natural elements that have inspired composers for centuries. The festival, which runs January 4-6 and 25-27, encompasses two concert programs celebrating air and the atmosphere-from the most intimate to the most infinite-in music. Music Director Jacques Lacombe leads each Winter Festival program. Performances will take place at four of the Orchestra's venues throughout the state of New Jersey.

The Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced a $3,000 surplus at its Annual General Meeting this week. "This is a great achievement for the Alliance," says Michael Rubinoff, the newly elected President to the Board of Directors at TAPA. "The surplus will help to move the organization forward to achieving financial stability in order to continually provide meaningful, quality services to our members."

Due to popular demand, Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced a second, final extension of its critically-acclaimed, sold-out New York premiere of THE WHALE, a new play by Obie Award winner Samuel D. Hunter (A Bright New Boise). Originally set to play a limited engagement through Sunday, December 2, the production originally extended to Sunday, December 9 and now extends to Saturday, December 15 at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street). This holiday season DSI Comedy Theater is giving audiences weekly chances each week to relive their holiday stress with hilarious evenings of comedy. Beginning Saturday, December 1 at 9 p.m., the comedy hot spot is running Love In The Time of Santa Claus, a sketch comedy revue. The show runs through December 22. The new family musical special, The Christmas Rose, features a cast of over 400 and stars the multiple Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning actress Jane Seymour and legendary Broadway actor and Tony nominee Lee Roy Reams. The Christmas Rose, with music and story by PBS composer Tim Janis, follows a young orphan named Annabelle, played by thirteen year old Bailey Grey, into the desert where she crosses paths with everyone from the three wise men and singing angels to Mary and Joseph, while being pursued by a team of desert bandits. Kathie Lee Gifford, the librettist, lyricist and driving force behind the new Broadway show, Scandalous: The Life and Trials of Aimee Semple McPherson, visits THEATER TALK with three of show's stars - Carolee Carmello, George Hearn and Roz Ryan - to discuss McPherson, the charismatic evangelist who captured America's attention in the 1920s. They also talk about life, Hota Kotb and the different forces that brought the talented quartet together to create this new American musical.
