Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Lynn Nottage's acclaimed play INTIMATE APPAREL returns to New York on January 7th, 2013 at 7pm for a one-night only benefit reading in the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street,) directed by Jade King Carroll and featuring an all-star cast. All proceeds from the reading will benefit Donor Direct Action (www.donordirectaction.org), a non-profit organization for which Ms. Nottage is on the board, that "strengthens women's rights organizations around the world by increasing access to funds, advocacy, and visibility."

The award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company, a proven destination for theater lovers who crave the adventure of discovery, announces its 2013 Cape May Mainstage Season. As usual, it includes classical gems, a world premiere, and a radio show.

Broadway and film star Robby Benson and Tony nominee Josh Young are set to star in the upcoming special invitational presentation of selections from the original new musical AMAZING GRACE, with music & lyrics by Christopher Smith and book by Mr. Smith & Arthur Giron, December 11th and 12th at Lincoln Center's Clark Studio Theater. AMAZING GRACE has been in development over the past four years and the musical had a record-breaking run at Goodpeed's Norma Terris Theatre last summer. Under the direction of Gabriel Barre, the cast will also feature Robert Petkoff (Fiddler on the Roof, Ragtime), Whitney Bashor (The Fantasticks, Happy Days), Chris Hoch (Beauty and the Beast, Spamalot), Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime, Memphis), and Harriett D. Fox Valley Repertory kicks off their 2013 season with a variety of musical tributes, murder mystery and comedic combat, including: some of the best comedic swordplay in the country, The Swordsmen, a weekend of the popular Beatles band, American English, a one-night only Chicago experience, '25 or 6 to 6' Tribute Band, and the opening of Fox Valley Rep's mysterious production of 'The Art of Murder' at Pheasant Run Resort (4051 E. Steve Alpert and Ken Greiner in association with Slant Theatre Project present the world-premiere of THE STEADFAST, Mat Smart's gripping new play that looks at eight U.S. soldiers across the sweep of American history - from the Revolutionary War to the War in Afghanistan - and the common thread that connects them across continents and centuries. THE STEADFAST is inspired by Mr. Alpert's Legacy painting. Preview performances of THE STEADFAST begin January 20 prior to an official press opening of January 23 at TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street) in Manhattan. Slant Theatre Project's co-founder Wes Grantom will direct.

Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway premiere of THE OTHER PLACE, the new play by Sharr White, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello starring Laurie Metcalf, Daniel Stern, Zoe Perry, and John Schiappa begins previews tomorrow. The limited engagement will open Thursday, January 10 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

In the Heights, the 2008 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, will make a return with much of its original Broadway cast for one night only this February.

Red Tape Theatre has announced that starting in January 2013, Brooke Allen will become their first playwright in residence as part of the newly revised Fresh Eyes Project. Formed in 2005, the Fresh Eyes Project has been a bold, new workshop process designed to create and develop plays that are innovative in form and subject. Over the years, it has assisted in the development of such projects as Caitlin Parish's A Twist of Water, Aaron Weissman's Egg & Alfie, Martin Zimmerman's Making of a Modern Folk Hero and Martyna Majok's Mouse in a Jar, which went on to be a Jeff Award winning production for Red Tape Theatre in 2009.

Freely inspired by Victor Hugo's novel, equal parts horror, comedy, and romance, THE MAN WHO LAUGHS is a 'live silent film,' performed in grayscale with live music, about a man whose face has been carved into a permanent smile and his desperate quest for the world to take him seriously. Hugo's character of Gwynplaine, "the laughing man", inspired the creation of Batman's infamous nemesis, The Joker.

Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy have just announced additional Broadway casting for the world premiere of MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL, based on the life of iconic Motown founder Berry Gordy.

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.

The soundtrack of the highly anticipated film adaptation of LES MISÉRABLES, featuring Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Samantha Barks, Sacha Baron Cohen, Aaron Tveit and more, is currently slated for a December 26 release on Amazon and a December 29 release on iTunes.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) has announced the four-show line-up for its Winter 2013 Musicals in Mufti Series featuring the music works of legendary Broadway writers Richard Rodgers, Cole Porter, Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse and two by George S. Kaufman. The roster of Broadway musicals include Two by Two (February 15-17, 2013), Hollywood Pinafore (March 1-3, 2013), Happy Hunting (March 15-17, 2013), and Silk Stockings (March 22-24, 2013) at The York Theatre Company at its home in Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Casting will be announced at a later date.

The La Jolla Playhouse production of the new American musical Hands on a Hardbody will open Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street), following a preview period that begins Saturday, February 23, 2013. Check out the new TV spot below!

Art Miami LLC, parent company of Florida's longest running premier contemporary and modern art fair Art Miami, announced that it will add another gem to its crown, the vibrant Aqua Art Miami in Miami Beach, now in its 8th year. Art Miami LLC will take over the operation of the fair at the conclusion of this year's 2012 edition.
