The team consists of two eminent scientists: Dr. Charles Limb of the Johns Hopkins University and Dr. Mario Livio of the Space Telescope Science Institute.

FronteraFest, now celebrating its 20th year as one of the largest fringe performance events in the Southwest kicks-off its 'Short Fringe' from January 15 - February 16 and 'Long Fringe' performances from January 21 - February 3, 2013. The Short Fringe takes place at Hyde Park Theatre (511 West 43rd) Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Long Fringe performances are held at Salvage Vanguard Theatre (2803 Manor Road) at various dates/times (available at www.hydeparktheatre.org). There is also a special 'Mi Casa es Su Teatro' event which takes place one day only, Saturday, February 9th from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) will produce five-time Tony Award winning masterpiece Man of La Mancha, running Feb. 26 - March 10 at the Hobby Center for The Performing Arts. Man of La Mancha is an epic story of swashbuckling imagination, romance and adventure. Set amid the Spanish Inquisition, the show follows knight-errant Don Quixote in his quest for "The Impossible Dream," along with his servant Sancho and the lovely Dulcinea, as he attempts to right all wrongs and win the heart of a good woman. Written by Dale Wasserman with music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion, the show is hailed as one of the all-time great musicals of the American stage. The production features memorable songs such as "To Each His Dulcinea," "I Really Like Him," and "Man of La Mancha".

York Theatre Company will present Broadway's Marc Kudisch (9 to 5; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) and Jeffry Denman (Irving Berlin's White Christmas; Yank! at the York) in the Off-Broadway premiere of a new holiday variety entertainment, The Holiday Guys in Happy Merry Hanu-Mas, under the music direction of Timothy Splain, for a limited two week engagement, December 18 - 31, 2012 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Cathy Rigby's Peter Pan February 19 and 20, 2013 engagement at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall has been canceled due to the shows inability to lock in a second stop on the Florida leg of the tour, after they lost their original dates for the latter half of the week. Ticket sales for the Sarasota dates were strong and the Van Wezel is disappointed that the show had to cancel. Mary Bensel, Executive Director of the Van Wezel stated "we are extremely disappointed with the show's decision, as it was one of the highlights of the season."

The smash hit West End musical GHOST the Musical, based on the Academy Award winning film, is to tour throughout the UK opening at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff in April 2013. GHOST the Musical is directed by the Tony award winning Matthew Warchus (Matilda, Art) and has music and lyrics by Grammy® award winning Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard and features the iconic song Unchained Melody. Set and costume designs are by Rob Howell, musical supervision and arrangements by Christopher Nightingale, illusions are by Paul Kieve, choreography is by Ashley Wallen, video and projection designs by Jon Driscoll, lighting by Hugh Vanstone and sound by Bobby Aitken. The UK tour is being produced by David Ian Productions, The Ambassador Theatre Group, Colin Ingram, and Hello Entertainment/David Garfinkle. Full casting for the tour will be announced later this year.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, is pleased to announce a day-of-show drawing for the Second National Tour, which launches in Chicago on December 11, 2012 at the Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe). In Chicago, the production will conduct a pre-show drawing at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 each. Performances are sold out December 11, 2012 - March 3, 2013. Contemporary classical ensemble Musiqa has received the Chamber Music Association/American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (CMA/ASCAP) Award for Adventurous Programming of contemporary music for 2013. The award, one of the most prestigious music awards in the nation, is given to just eight recipients annually.
