Get your light sabers ready, Concord, because Charles Ross is bringing his wildly entertaining One-Man Star Wars Trilogy to the Capitol Center for the Arts on Sunday, February 17, at 1pm & 4pm as part of the CCA's new family series Showtime Sundays. One Man Star Wars Trilogy," is a hilarious hyperdrive voyage through Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi in 60 minutes. There is a catch. The show only has one cast member.

Oscar and Tony Award-winning composer Alan Menken, director Jeff Calhoun and producer Thomas Schumacher will join Kara Lindsay, Andrew Keenan-Bolger and Mike Faist, stars of the Tony award-winning Broadway musical, Newsies, for a special presentation to 4,000 students and teachers representing 82 groups from 23 states at the 2013 Junior Theater Festival, it was announced today by Theater of the Stars President Nick Manos and Timothy Allen McDonald, founding Chairman of iTheatrics. The Junior Theater Festival is being held January 18, 19 and 20 at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta.

One of Kansas City's most acclaimed actors, Gary Neal Johnson, is set to star as the iconic Willy Loman in Kansas City Repertory Theatre's production of Arthur Miller's Tony Award-winning Death of a Salesman. The Rep's artistic director Eric Rosen will direct the production, which runs January 18-February 10 at Spencer Theatre. Miller's classic play about a down-on-his-luck salesman searching for his American Dream remains one of the most profound dramas in the canon of American theatre.

Gorilla Tango's Skokie Theatre has announced its newest offering for youth: the FILM INCUBATOR PROGRAM (FIP). The FIP is a 6-week workshop where kids in tandem with professional filmmakers create a short film from scratch. The kids work on all aspects of the production (writing, directing, acting, crew, etc.) and at the end of the term the movies are premiered at the Skokie Theatre - a real movie theatre! - as a free event for family and friends. All participants get a copy of their movie on DVD to take with them. Class size is limited.
