Americana music artist Sugarman, will be releasing his second album 'After The Blackout', a collection of well-crafted songs that reflects Noah Sugarman's heart and soul from his past and rumination. Artists Rep and Profile Theatre announce that Profile will make Artists Repertory Theatre their new home. Twenty-three students from the 71 semi-finalists that competed last weekend have advanced to the State Finals of the national Poetry Out Loud (POL) spoken word competition, to be held this Sunday, March 10. The competition will begin at 9:30am at the Old South Meeting House (301 Washington Street, Boston), site of the historic meeting of colonists that led to the Boston Tea Party and a continued haven of free speech today. The competition is free and open to the public.

Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that the NYTW production of the New York premiere of Belleville, written by Amy Herzog and directed by Anne Kauffman, will extend for two weeks through Sunday, April 14, following rave reviews and sold-out houses. Belleville (originally scheduled to close March 31) plays at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue.
After an intense semi-final round of competition, the Metropolitan Opera today announced the names of ten finalists who will sing on the Met stage in the 2013 National Council Auditions Grand Finals Concert on Sunday, March 10 at 3:00 p.m., with the MET Orchestra conducted by Marco Armiliato. The auditions, which are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year, have been an important stepping stone in the career of many of the opera world's leading artists. 20 gifted young singers from around the country arrived in New York on Thursday afternoon to prepare for today's semi-final round, in which they sang on the Met stage for the first time in their careers before a panel of judges. After deliberations, the panel has narrowed the field to ten singers who will move to the final phase of the competition.
The Elks Theatre will present Grease 'Sing Along Edition' starring none other than goody two-shoes Sandy (Olivia Newton-John) and bad boy greaser Danny (John Travolta) as they sing, dance, and fall in love all over again in this toe-tapping adaptation of the hit Broadway musical. For this special screening audiences are encouraged to grab their friends, dress up, and do what they have always wanted to do: Sing Along. Grease will screen all-weekend March 8th thru 10th and will coincide with the Middletown Area High School's and Elizabethtown High School's stage adaptation being performed the previous weekend. Following Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic's successful world premiere of LA Phil Creative Chair John Adams' The Gospel According to the Other Mary last season, they present the oratorio in a theatrical setting at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Thursday and Friday, March 7 and 8, at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, March 10, at 2 pm. Once again the Los Angeles Master Chorale and six soloists: mezzo-soprano Kelley O'Connor, contralto Tamara Mumford, tenor Russell Thomas and countertenors Daniel Bubeck, Brian Cummings and Nathan Medley, return for Adams' large-scale LA Phil-commissioned work. The production also features dancers Michael Schumacher, Anani Sanouvi and Troy Ogilvie. Iconoclastic director Peter Sellars oversees the world premiere staging of the work. The project will then be taken on tour with its European premiere during the orchestra's international residency at the Barbican London, and continuing performances in Lucerne and Paris, followed by the East Coast premiere at Avery Fisher Hall in New York.
