'Defending the Caveman,' the Broadway smash hit about the differences between the sexes, announces its new home at The Improv at Harrah's Las Vegas. Starting tonight, January 17th, 'Defending the Caveman' will be performed daily at 7:00 p.m. Originally opened at the San Francisco Improv in 1991, this new Las Vegas home allows the show to return to its Improv roots.

Dance New Amsterdam (DNA) will present the Winter 2011 installment of its most exploratory series, RAW Directions, February 10-12 in DNA's 130-seat theater. The program grants explorative opportunities to five emerging to mid-career artists with proven choreographic track records, wanting to carve out new avenues for their work. Artistic Advisor Colleen Thomas mentors this season's artists: Shani Nwando Ikerioha Collins Achille, Jordan Fuchs, Elisabeth Motley, Eunhee Lee and Scott Lyons.

The schedule has been set for the five new plays that will be performed as staged readings in the Great Gay Play Fest March 3 - 6, 2011, at the Hoover-Leppen Theater at the Center on Halsted in Chicago. These five scripts have been selected by our esteemed reading panel from fresh GLBT work submitted from around the country, and includes work by new writers, as well as that from those already working in the industry. Five esteemed Chicago directors are working to make these plays a reality.

Comedienne Jessica Kirson returns to the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) for a one-night show. HE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, the provocative and wickedly funny theatrical adaptation of the C.S. Lewis novel about spiritual warfare from a demon's point of view, will be presented at The Knight Theater at Levine Center for the Arts, 430 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC, in a limited engagement on Saturday, March 26 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 27 at 3 p.m.

Jacques Brel RETURNS ...The Music of Brel, Blau, Shuman and Jouannest en Cabaret announced that it will be extending its run through February at The Triad, 158 West 72nd Street, NYC. February dates are Saturday Feb 12th, Wednesday , February 16, and Friday February 25th. The last January show is Wednesday January 19th.

Piers Morgan, whose show 'Piers Morgan Tonight' debuts tonight in the time slot previously occupied by the legendary Larry King, has discussed what he ideally plans to do with the show with the New York Post. This included Katie Holmes, star of the miniseries 'The Kennedys', a Twitter-themed show starring Twitter's founder Jack Dorsey and gossip columnist Perez Hilton, and the reality TV star Kardashian sisters. Producers of the new show are also, however, in talks to have the creators of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off the Dark on for an episode, including director Julie Taymor and songwriters Bono and the Edge.

Mayor Michael Nutter announced today that Mia Farrow - actress, humanitarian, and activist- will receive the 2011 Marian Anderson Award.
