As previously reported by BroadwayWorld, NBC has picked up a new pilot entitled SMASH, which is about 'a group of people who come together to put on a Broadway musical.' New details have emerged about the show.

The Prince of Wales Theatre in London's West End - home to Mamma Mia! since 2004 - will be host the 2011 Whatsonstage.com Awards. The awards are in their 11th annual presentation this year. Actor Christopher Biggins, perhaps best known for his various comedy roles for the better part of three decades, will host the event.

The popular 'Dance on Broadway' video game, released for the Wii system this past summer, will be available for Kinect and Playstation Move systems. The release, reported by MCV Magazine, would be in stores for the Playstation Move on March 18th, and Kinect later this year, at a date to be announced.

Bernadette Peters, who just finished her well-received run as Desiree in the revival of A Little Night Music on January 9th, won't be taking too much downtime between projects. Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz have welcomed a child to their family, reports the Spanish magazine Hola. The date replaces the originally announced January 30th.

Monday night's 10PM season three premiere of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' on Logo burned ratings rubber, averaging a .4 rating in the P18-49 demo. This number represents a 33% increase over last season's opener and is the highest rated telecast on Logo since the season two finale of 'RuPaul's Drag Race.'
