Casting for the 61st Music Circus season has been completed. After auditioning performers in New York, Los Angeles and Sacramento, California Musical Theatre Artistic Director Glenn Casale has finalized the acting company for the seven-show season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion, including The Producers, Oliver!, Anything Goes, Camelot, Annie Get Your Gun, I Do! I Do! and Miss Saigon.

An additional 2 p.m. concert appearance has been added to the schedule for country great Ronnie Milsap, whose Spencer Theater show at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 6 was rapidly selling to capacity. A few rows of seats are still available to the evening performance, but the 2 p.m. matinee provides an additional 500+ seats for fans to fill.

It is designed to work through three genres of scene study: Classical (Shakespeare, 15th Century drama, etc.), 19th & 20th Century (Chekhov, Ibsen, Shaw, etc.), and Contemporary scenes. Everyone will work during every class and it is expected that everyone rehearse outside of class. The final class will be open to the public.
